What: The event log for the A Hope for the Future event
Where: All over the city!

It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.

There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!

To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!

[George is dressed informally, in jeans, a tshirt, and Converse sneakers. so in other words, her usual uniform. when she sees Lance, of course she has to go over to say hi.

this feast is definitely enjoyable. she's been eating platefuls of waffles with butter and blueberry syrup, scrambled eggs, and perfectly cooked bacon while taking drinks out of a gallon jug of mimosas. she's nowhere near tipsy, she just likes the flavor of the orange juice mixed with the champagne.

she'd be delighted to hear that they've found and secured Name.

You can have something of mine in exchange for a bite of that muffin.

You can have the whole thing; I've already had one.

[And he shouldn't repeat the muffin incident of... When was it again? 2011? Something like that. Anyway he'd eaten a lot of muffins that day.

Anyway, George's food looks awesome, and he's more than willing to trade a whole muffin for getting to try a little of a few things.]

[she helps herself to the blueberry muffin. muffins. yum. and George would be very curious about the Great Muffin Incident of 2011, so better not mention it to her.

she gestures towards her plate] Pick anything you like. There's more where that came from.

[It's not actually all that interesting of a story, so at least she's not missing out on anything particularly good.]

[It all looks so good but he totally goes for a piece of bacon first. He hasn't had bacon in so long and it's not something he typically eats all the time at home either, so it's an unusual treat.]

What are you drinking?

[It looks like orange juice but who knows.]

[it's absolutely perfect. just the right amount of crisp and the right amount of moist. and there's plenty of it]

Mimosas. I guess they figured that if I'm having breakfast food, I might as well have a breakfast drink.

Especially when there's a ton of it.

[Sharing makes it more fun, and besides, even Lance can't eat that much pizza without getting bored.

And omg this bacon is amazing and life is beautiful again.]

Yeah? I got pomegranate juice, which is nice since I didn't have to pay for it.

Yeah, Hope really went all-out on this. Kinda makes me wonder what they're gonna do to us next. And fucking hell, am I a ray of sunshine or what?

[George can eat all those waffles. there's a pile of them. and the ones she can't eat, she's stuffing in her bag and taking home with her.

Pomegranate juice? Is it good? I've never had it before.

As always. But it's worth enjoying while it lasts.

I think it's good, yeah, but it's kind of an acquired taste? It can be really tart.

I guess so. So here's to enjoying it while it lasts? [offers her jug in a toast.

pancakes are good, too, but she'll always choose waffles. they have those little indents where the butter and syrup can pool up and it's so good]

I like tart stuff.

[He nods at the toast, since he's still occupied with food, but then hands her a small bottle.]

Here, you might like it then.

[she takes the bottle, opens it, and sniffs at it curiously]

[she takes a sip. it is tart, but she likes it]

It's really good. Now I feel like I owe you one, like I should go get more bacon for you.
