Event Log: A Hope for the Future

What: The event log for the A Hope for the Future event
Where: All over the city!
When: April 15th-April 19th
Warnings: Stealth Rock

It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.

There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!

To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!

[Lup already looks a little buzzed, freckled cheeks the barest flush of pink and her halo of golden hair a slight mess around her head. But she's beaming and looking more happy than she has in months.

And is her lipstick looking smudged? Could be.]

Never gonna turn down more to drink. Bring it, my guy.

[puzzlingly]

「Atem is "tipsy" enough not to even notice Lup's state, but he absolutely grins at her and handles her the pitcher. It's probably not as strong as the rest of the booze out there, but after drinking one of those almost alone, it was bound to happen.」

You look like a crayola drawn picture...

「Re: lipstick. He can't possibly be that drunk not to notice!」

[Lup bursts into drunken giggles at that, her head tipping a little curiously to the side. What the fuck, atem.]

What does that mean?! You talkin' shit about my dress?

[But she's giggling and grinning, too delighted to be anything but happy. It's a good night, full of drinks and all of the people who mean most to her.]

[puzzlingly]

No, no... About your face!

「Wait... Before she hits him he goes for her face, and with his thumb he tries to fix that. Hopefully she won't bite.」

Did you faceplant or something?

[Luckily for Atem, Lup's quite full from the feast. No biting today.

Though she does look quite surprised when the boy leans in close and actually wipes something off of her face. Something suspiciously the same color as her lipstick...]

Oh dunk, is my-- [Lup turns and reaches for a nearby spoon. It's not great, but at least she can get a little better look at herself.] Well shit. Guess I shoulda gone with the magic makeup today instead of doin' it by hand.

[Not that she looks too upset. It's hard to be upset about anything when things are finally looking better for her and Barry.] Thanks.

[puzzlingly]

「Wait a minute... just wait... he smears the lipstick between his fingers and the color looks familiar..........」

Hmmmmmm...

「Suspicious...」

[oh god that look is so cute what did she do]

What? Somethin' else on my face?

[puzzlingly]

「She's onto her! Not that it might be a secret but...」

[Might not be a secret, but there's no hiding the soft, happy blush that quickly works it's way across Lup's features when Atem puts the two together.]

Yeah.

[Look, she's had way too much to drink and just thinking about this is getting her a little teary-eyed. Don't @ her.]

[puzzlingly]

「Oh man! He just absolutely beams.」

You're getting back together!?

「He's drunk, let him be that happy drunk he is.」

[restinglichface]

[She reaches over and gives his shoulder a playful shove, but there's no hiding Lup's drunken delight.]

Shut up. We weren't gonna like, not, s'just finally movin' ahead.

[puzzlingly]

「Oh no, there he goes, a bit too drunk to not stumble, he just laughs though.」

Well, good. He misses you!

[Funny how even after so much time spent together with Barry that Lup still goes pleasantly pink at that info, the slightest touch of shyness in her smile.]

Really? Did he talk about me?

[puzzlingly]

He never shuts up talkin' 'bout you, Lup.

「Okay, he does, when he sleeps, but he might dream of her too...」

[restinglichface]

[She smiles, dopey and shy, before dropping her head to Atem's shoulder, to hide the flush on her cheeks.]

What a friggin' nerd... Sorry you gotta hear so much 'bout me then.

[puzzlingly]

I don't mind at all... Imma miss it when he's gone.

「Oho... Don't pay too much mind to that, it's drunken talk. He pets her awkwardly, tho.」

It's nice to know another side of you.

[restinglichface]

Ugh, shut up, [she mumbles into his shoulder, still hiding her face. Or just feeling too dizzy to sit back up again. Either or.]

I'm a scary-ass lich. Everyone is super terrified of me, okay.

[puzzlingly]

Oh, yeah sure... Gotcha. 「Wink. Oh wait she's not looking at him.」

[She can practically hear it!!!]

I could totally kick your ass right now. Just... Gimme like two mins for the world to stop spinning.

「He laughs.」

「I don't...even. But he tries to pull her with him and look for Barry. Not that's gonna happen!」

「He laughs again, loud. This is so much fun, Lup!」

You traitor!! [She finally shoves off of him, beet red and wobbly.]

Like he doesn't already know! [a beat before] But don't tell him anyway!

「Gasp! He's no traitor! Just a huge troll. Don't make him drop the beer!」

Why not!? He'd be happy to know you like his butt.
