Event Log: A Hope for the Future

What: The event log for the A Hope for the Future event
Where: All over the city!
When: April 15th-April 19th
Warnings: Stealth Rock

It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.

There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!

To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!

( Luna's right there. From what Serah's seen while looking at the tables, there's so much that she doesn't recognise. She'll have to see what she can try while she's here. )

The sweeter the better, I think. ( she smiles, chuckling slightly. )

Though I will give most a try if offered. It was always a nice treat when I could sit with Gentiana back home and share treats together.

( even if sometimes it was her eating while gentiana simply kept her company. after all, she doubts the astals (even in mortal forms) needed to eat. )

A friend of yours? ( A sister? She asks this as she plucks out the sweetest thing she has on the plate, made with some soft red berries and a generous chocolate drizzle. ) Ah. Here, I think you'll like it.

In a manner of speaking; she has been with my family since I was a newborn. ( which probably toward her mother a lot. a part of luna wonders what that must have been like, to have a high messenger-- a astral appear to you and your newborn daughter. thankfully, serah reappears before her with a plate and luna offers a big smile. )

( So, more like a relative, then. Serah can relate to that statement all the more. With Lightning so busy after their parents died, doing all she could to look after them both, those rare moments of being normal and spending time together are looked back upon with a stab of pain. Who would have - who could have - known, other than Etro herself, that they'd be torn apart from one another for so long? )

( she hums thoughtfully and carefully plucks a few scraps for umbra and pryna to enjoy. )

It is just my brother, Ravus and I now. Our mother died when we were younger and since then it has just been the two of us but...

( but ideals and duty and the gods themselves kept them apart. ) But we drifted apart because of our duties back home. It was not until recently that we began to mend and bridge the gap that had formed between us. He was here too, in this world, for a short time. I miss him dearly. Do you have siblings, Serah?

( ... That sounds eerily familiar, enough that Serah stops chewing on her pastry for a brief second. )

Um... Yeah. A sister. ( Who isn't here. Who she's supposed to be trying to find in Valhalla, but... ) She looked after me after our parents died. But she's not around now.
