Event Log: A Hope for the Future

What: The event log for the A Hope for the Future event
Where: All over the city!
When: April 15th-April 19th

It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.

There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!

To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!

"I can't hear it hurting and not help. Not while it sings, soft and silent sighing, saying it hurts. Am I real even when I'm not?"

"Others have done so, and will do so. I think you are, Cole"

[fadeling]

"I don't mind if they do." Spirits don't get to be people, after all. "I'm only pretend but I can be real to."

[bythewaves]

Maglor reaches over to touch an arm.

"You are real to me."

[fadeling]

Normally he wouldn't let someone else touch him, but he stands still, looking and not really sure what to say for a moment.

"You're different."

[bythewaves]

"I am very old." Maglor's touch is light, and gentle.

"I suppose it might make me so."

[fadeling]

"Yes. I can hear it, longer and louder. An ancient thing taking up all the room with music."

[bythewaves]

Maglor laughs softly.

"Am I too loud? Sorry youngling, I don't know how to change that."

[fadeling]

"It's alright. I like to listen to the old things, sometimes."

[bythewaves]

Maglor smiles at him fondly.

"Well, if you want to listen to old things, Cole, you can come and find me any time. I'm happy to sing for you too, if you want."

[fadeling]

"Thank you. I think I would."

[bythewaves]

He reaches over to straighten his hat.

"Then come and find me, Cole. Whenever you wish."

[fadeling]

"I will. Thank you."
