It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.
There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!
To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!► This log covers April 14th-April 19th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you get hit by levitating rubble or eat a food that wasn't meant for you, please let us know here.

[ There hadn't been much time for games even if there were more. ]
That sounds like a very simple game. [ Alfred can picture it well enough. ] And perhaps fun as well.

[Okay, chess boy. Julie purses her lips and looks around. She knows there are games here, but checkers doesn't really fall under the umbrella of party games.
Still, Hadriel's supplied weirder things...]
You want to play? If I can find it.

[ Alfred counters with a quick laugh. It sounds a lot more coherent than the game of 'Twister' that had been described. ]
I would like that very much.

[She'll go off in search of checkers, which doesn't take as long as she thought and perhaps the gods simply believe that since any game can be played drunk and made more fun in the doing so, any game can be a party game.
But there are few better ways to connect with someone than over a game of something, so ten minutes or so later, Julie places a box down on the table.]
Here we go.

That did not take very long.

[Couldn't find that Null creep, could she? Sigh.]
no subject
[ Alfred smiles. He is not particularly talented at finding things but he also hasn't had anything specific to be looking for. ]
This is a good find.

[She gestures to the board.]
You need the rules again, or do you want to go first?

[ Alfred asks and in all honesty he is more interested in getting to know someone new and perhaps gain a new friend (or something). A game is always fun and he knows from experience it is a good way to cultivate respect. ]
I remember. [ Alfred said and without further ado he moves one of the pieces in the way that she had explained after studying the board for a long moment. He believed that there might be some element of luck to this rather than pure strategy as was with chess. ]
no subject
[She doesn't wait too long to move her own piece. Checkers can be fun, but chess is definitely a game with far more strategy than the one currently in front of them. At least, on a casual level.]
Earth? God, I don't know, I can't even assume everyone here knows what 'Earth' is.

Then, you must be from the future. [ He smiles a little and reaches to move another piece. ]

Julie props her chin up on one hand, considering which piece to move next.]
What year are you from?
