Event Log: A Hope for the Future

What: The event log for the A Hope for the Future event

It's finally time to reap the rewards you've earned from all that hard work collecting and returning the Hope orbs! Be careful walking the streets during the small earthquakes, but feel free to admire the scenery as your beautiful city reassembles its way back into its former glory.

There are new houses where the destroyed buildings once were, and they're perfect for a single person or pair of lovebirds. In addition, you'll find that the electricity to these new houses, and all other homes and shops in the city is restored. The food is better, the monsters are gone- hey, this city might be livable again!

To cap it all off, we've got a feast waiting for you on the 19th! Come one, come all, and enjoy all of your favorite foods, drinks, and party games. It's been awhile since we've all gotten together to celebrate something good, so get your party on and toss all your troubles away!

[Sounds to Nate like an entire planet just decided to crib off of some old guys in himations, but he isn't going to accuse a universe of people of being derivative.

[Someone conceited, perhaps, to believe ones own world and universe might be the one true source of all others, but Ignis has heard much and drew some interesting lines of similarity.

A connection, at least, can't be denied.]

Does the name 'Leviathan' mean anything to you? Or 'Bahamut'? 'Shiva'? [Start with the easy things. The surface things.] We've already established that the name of my world is known in yours - Goddess of the dawn. It's peculiarly fitting.

...Uh...yeah, actually. The Leviathan was a sea monster from the Hebrew Bible, Bahamut is...an Arabic disambiguation of Behemoth, I think, which was this giant world-supporting fish in Islam, and Shiva is a Hindu god.

[He'd have to ask Chloe about details on the last guy, since Nate's familiarity with Hinduism is very cursory.]

Don't tell me you've got a Pandora and a whole hosts of Devas, too.

Hm, spread across so many cultures. Interesting. [He doesn't need context for 'Hebrew', 'Islam' and 'Hindu' to understand that much. That names from a single pantheon known to him could be so widely spread and yet still known in another world (and in a not too different form) is intriguing.

Ignis lifts his eyebrows slightly to the question, and quickly sips his drink before he replies.]
