"Planets across the galaxy," he repeats, with a half-pleased chuckle -- though what she's said is a little baffling, and it makes him marvel more than a little.
There are so many women here in Hadriel that it won't do for his tongue to be stopped around them. He lives with two beautiful queens and his sister, who might have been a third if the Northern lords had chosen differently. It's hard to get into the habit of talking to ladies nonetheless, and he can't decide whether it makes things better or worse that so few of them know that he hardly saw a woman for almost five years... just Craster's wives for a few days, the weeks he spent with the Free Folk, Gilly, who had lived at Castle Black by his sufferance, and the women who came to the Wall with Stannis.
This particular woman is older than him, he thinks, and she reminds him... she reminds him of this person and that, but not enough of anyone in particular. She's taller than him, like Sansa's lady knight, but more fair, a little like the Red Priestess who he's so recently exiled from the North. Her hair is redder than Ygritte's was, though there's something of her in the way the woman stands, enough to give him a little pang of sadness still. Might be that she isn't like any of them, but the only way to find out is to talk to her.
"My feet remained on Earth before now. Or at the top of the Wall, but it's much the same thing when you speak of the sky.

"How many planets have you seen, my lady?"
