Lance is not super thrilled with the whole island thing himself; he'd been out to get a little exercise exploring when the shift happened, and suddenly found himself near an ocean. Awesome. This isn't going to be a problem at all.

And of course he happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time--or the right place at the right time?--to encounter someone else, and not just someone else, but someone he knows by description and from the network but has never met.
