Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for April.
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: April 10th-13th
Warnings: Newbies, explosions, and things that are definitely treasure chests and not evil monsters out to get you.

Welcome to your first day in Hadriel! Enjoy your surroundings, meet your fellow travelers, and be sure to start exploring so you can collect as much loot as possible!

On the ground around you may notice bang snaps, scattered haphazardly. Try not to step on any of them, or you might burn your feet! Feel free to gather them up and use these baby fireworks however you see fit; there are dozens strewn about on the ground. Popping them will emit clouds of smoke of various colors, and... well, not much else.

Is there anything else lurking around? Glad you asked! If you look around, you may find a few innocent-looking treasure chests. Which you know, normally means free loot- except, in Hadriel, nothing is quite the way it's advertised of course and the chests are actually dangerous mimics. Mimics- often disguised as treasure chests- are monsters with surprisingly quick movements and gaping maws filled with teeth. They exist to try and fool an unlucky traveler into thinking they've gotten something good... only to lunge at them in their moment of triumph and prove that life is actually terrible and nothing comes for free.

Fiona wasn't really playing up the sexy role (hahahahhahahaha she totally couldn't either way) but there's a friendliness in her voice that was undeniable. ]

Vault Hunters have a standard to maintain or something, I guess. You'll run into some other nice folks too, I'm sure.

[ he needs very little pause for her question. ]

And mostly, yeah, but there aren't too many places in livable conditions. We do a lot of scavenging. Stuff just kind of shows up here.

Two words sent her into a worried daze. Vault Hunters were serious damn business and uh, she finds out after she intersects her arm against his. He can feel her stop a bit before snapping out of it. Quick on her feet and all that jazz. ]

So you just manage to get by - no vaults to hunt? Hahaha.

[ BECAUSE SHE WAS SUPPOSE TO BE HUNTING ONE RIGHT NOW!

But, she needs to get serious now. If this guy is a Vault Hunter, he's one for a serious reason. He's capable of killing fools to get to a vault key. ]

Right. Lucking out does seem to be the law of the land here... wouldn't surprise me too much if that's where those red bang pops came from!

Nah, no Vaults here as far as I can tell. [ he glances at her when he can feel her pause, about to ask if she's alright when she finally starts walking again. ] Not that I was doin' a whole lot of it before, honestly. I mean- yeah, in theory, but mostly we were just trying to beat some other asshole to it.

[ spoken in the wistful tones of someone who really misses that kind of life. ]

Weird shit happens here pretty often - stay away from the chests, yeah? - but it's nothing like home. You'll be bored to tears in a few weeks, I promise.

[ no, axton, probably not. literally no sane person would be bored by this place. ]

That sounds ... riveting - [ Okay, too much. ] - I mean, really interesting!

[ She is completely up to her neck in Serious Vault Hunter, but she's not going to sweat too much. If she did, she would have died looooong ago on Pandora. Her hand goes up to adjust her hat a bit, tipping its brim down over her visage. ]

I'd argue that given my arrival, but... I'll take your word for it.

[ :/ Axton you are shit at reassuring her. ]

But, why bored? This place looks like it has its own fair share of quackery.

Yeah, well, I mean - it does, I guess. Just not the kind of quackery I'm used to. Probably makes a difference, doesn't it.

[ he's going to pause here, just to point out some landmarks - since he is giving her a tour, after all - before glancing down at her. ]

If by boat you mean weird door into an equally weird coliseum, yeah. Right on the nose.

That question makes her heart sink and she waves it off with a coy sliiiide of her arms away from him. Sorry, she's gonna just cross them over her chest defensively. ]

Lots of - [ ??????!!!!!!! ] - raceways. People love racing and it's our main economy. We siphon oil from the ground and it's our biggest currency.

[ axton indicates some building behind him with a nod of his head. ]

Just about concludes our tour, though. You should be good to pick an empty place to live, too.

[ It's lame because the highlight of her life for the past however many months was a psycho deathrace? ]

[ Pandora could be better too, which is why she doesn't dare bring it up.

She's a little caught off guard, perking a brow upwards as she looks around. ]

[ axton just shrugs at that, palms up in a 'what're you gonna do' gesture. ]

Hey, gotta take what freebies we can, right? I mean, mostly just the apartments are livable, so as long as you can stand having neighbors...

But no one ... challenges you for them. Huh. [ She's a bit suspicious of that, but if he says so... she'll take a leap of faith for that. ] That's incredibly generous or asking for a big debt over your head.

[ Well, okay. Living alone doesn't seem too much fun, but she'll take it if she can't find Sasha soon. ]

That tour was kinda lame, though. No pamphlet or anything?
