Welcome to your first day in Hadriel! Enjoy your surroundings, meet your fellow travelers, and be sure to start exploring so you can collect as much loot as possible!
On the ground around you may notice bang snaps, scattered haphazardly. Try not to step on any of them, or you might burn your feet! Feel free to gather them up and use these baby fireworks however you see fit; there are dozens strewn about on the ground. Popping them will emit clouds of smoke of various colors, and... well, not much else.
Is there anything else lurking around? Glad you asked! If you look around, you may find a few innocent-looking treasure chests. Which you know, normally means free loot- except, in Hadriel, nothing is quite the way it's advertised of course and the chests are actually dangerous mimics. Mimics- often disguised as treasure chests- are monsters with surprisingly quick movements and gaping maws filled with teeth. They exist to try and fool an unlucky traveler into thinking they've gotten something good... only to lunge at them in their moment of triumph and prove that life is actually terrible and nothing comes for free.
Good luck!
Once you've managed your daring escape from the colosseum, feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers April 10th-13th.
► Feel free to make your own logs, as well!
► All characters now arrive with phones that have network communication.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

There are stories back home of situations somewhat similiar to this, but... I never really believed they could be true, never mind happen to me.
[It's probably obvious that he's not assuming for a moment that this could be a lie, that Maketh could be spinning some kind of wild tale. Mitsuhide is an inherently trusting person unless given very obvious hints that he shouldn't be. And considering how strange the situation is as a whole, it's not like he could suggest anything that makes more sense.]
So if I were to assume escape isn't possible, would I be correct?

[His only hope now is that Hideyoshi will show them mercy, spare them, when they lay down their arms (as is inevitable). They may have never really gotten on well but Mitsuhide knows that Hideyoshi has the capacity for forgiveness in him that Nobunaga never did, even if it's sometimes just to get people on his side.]
[As for Motochika... Mitsuhide cannot say. The thought of him worries Mitsuhide only further, but what he can he do right now?]
I thank you for your information, Maketh Tua. Hard as it is to hear, knowing what I am dealing with helps.

[That's helpful. She could use more trained strategists on her side. And if he's a commander, that means he has experience. She nods.] You're very welcome, sir. Myself and several others are working on establishing a defense corp. The majority of people are civilians. Your aid would be helpful.

['Mostly civilians' is most certainly troubling, too. If he can't protect his own men, then protecting the other victims here would be the right thing to do.]
When I have settled in, I would be most glad to lend my experience to your cause.

[She nods politely, still standing at attention. It's possible that he would outrank her, on Lothal.] Feel free to contact me at any time. I will provide you whatever intelligence I can.

[He hesitates a moment before asking:]
If I may... how do I leave this building? I assume there are residences or a kind of base somewhere I can retreat to, once I have finished looking around. [Just a direction will do, really. He'll definitely be taking it slow, so...]

[At that Mitsuhide looks deeply confused, and is fully distracted from all other matters for a moment. He stares as he tries to make sense of it before doing the sensible thing and attempting to find this 'device; when the samurai finds the foreign object and pulls it out from behind his armour he looks even more bewildered.]
This lets me communicate with others? And look at a map? [This here medieval guy is a bit confused by this fact, to put it mildly. The fastest thing where he comes from for sending messages is probably via ninja!]

Ah, I would be grateful. It would be most kind.

[He bows his head.]
Some other time, then. This will do, for now... survival and rest are my priorities. [All those days on the march hadn't left him much time for quality sleep, after all, and it's not going to let up on its demands anymore. The grey rings around his eyes make that clear enough.]
