You wake up on the hard earth of the colosseum. By the state of things and the various aches and pains in your body, you've probably been passed out there for awhile. A few things should immediately become clear to you upon an initial assessment.1. You're not aloneOf all of these alarming things, the skittery object might be your largest concern. Be wary when turning corners or shutting out the lights: the Hunters work best when your vision is obscured, so their gelatinous form is even harder to spot. Their main goal will be to kill people of course, though they prefer to hide in corners and smaller rooms. Watch out when trying to work through the halls of the colosseum to find the outdoors- they're surprisingly quick, and they prefer to kill their prey by opening their face-flaps and wrapping their mouths around your head. Fun!
2. You're near other people who look to be in a similar state.
3. You're also near an assortment of human shaped lamps.
4. You're also near something that skitters off into the shadows of the colosseum.
More information on Hunters can be found here!
Second largest concern? Maybe it's the people lamps. Maybe it's the actual people around you. Whatever it is, be sure to familiarize yourself with it quickly. The devil you know is better than the devil you don't, after all.
All done with the horrible monsters and awkward greetings? Try your hand at exploring the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies until your little heart is content. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers November 10th-17th.
► Feel free to make your own logs, as well!
► All characters now arrive with phones that have network communication.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

Her eyes flashed yellow, and an identical copy appeared beside her, solid and realistic, and able to move independently of the original.
"My parents were exposed to radiation, and I guess it all stayed put until I came into the picture." Z shrugged, and without so much as a glance at her replica, it disappeared, like a digital image flickering out of view. "I'm not too sure on the science behind it, but I know I've been able to do this for most of my life. I can make a few at a time, but the fewer there are, the easier it is for me to work with them. Anyway, I want to try and see if I can make one on the other side of the barrier. It's worth a shot, right?"

"I knew a Protoss- another aliens species- He did the same thing, or something very similar," Kerrigan said. Reaching out with her mind to feel if she could tell them apart.
"Do you see what it sees? Remember what it learns?" That was the important part here, and already Kerrigan was forming strategies and planning how best to make use of this woman and her surprising talent.

"Yeah. I used to use them when I was running away from-- people who wanted to hurt me and my friend." Z omitted the part about her thievery, not out if shame, but because it didn't seem like the sort if thing to mention to someone she didn't really know yet. Especially when that person ruled an entire nation, or a people, or any organized government. "I would send a few off in different directions to confuse people. I ran through different parts of town, and then I pulled the plug when my friend and I were safe." That had been fun, and something of a challenge. A game, almost. And it all felt like a world away from now. Literally.

"Give me time to scout the perimeter of the cavern. Try to gather some supplies for yourself. Food, weapons, whatever you need. I can track your replicas telepathically in their attempt to find the barrier. If it doesn't impede movement, and only telepathy, we'll be able to tell as soon as they cross it."

"I can see why you're your people's leader." Z smiled, nodding. "I don't know exactly how far they can go, but one or two at a time should be able to cover enough ground to start with. If I can get them to appear outside. I'm pretty sure we can reach the barrier without them." Though it might bf best to have a replica walk into it first, just to see if it would hurt or not. Knowing her luck, it probably would.

"I'll try to find something to make a map." Something material that could be held up and shown to people, instead of her memories and mental map that was slowly taking shape.

"Good plan." That'd keep them from retracing their steps, if nothing else. She looked around at the... city, she guessed. All those buildings, and those spires in the distance, all seemed abandoned. "There might be stuff in all these empty buildings."

True, she was law enforcement, but that was no guarantee she could operate without her gear.
