You wake up on the hard earth of the colosseum. By the state of things and the various aches and pains in your body, you've probably been passed out there for awhile. A few things should immediately become clear to you upon an initial assessment.1. You're not aloneOf all of these alarming things, the skittery object might be your largest concern. Be wary when turning corners or shutting out the lights: the Hunters work best when your vision is obscured, so their gelatinous form is even harder to spot. Their main goal will be to kill people of course, though they prefer to hide in corners and smaller rooms. Watch out when trying to work through the halls of the colosseum to find the outdoors- they're surprisingly quick, and they prefer to kill their prey by opening their face-flaps and wrapping their mouths around your head. Fun!
2. You're near other people who look to be in a similar state.
3. You're also near an assortment of human shaped lamps.
4. You're also near something that skitters off into the shadows of the colosseum.
More information on Hunters can be found here!
Second largest concern? Maybe it's the people lamps. Maybe it's the actual people around you. Whatever it is, be sure to familiarize yourself with it quickly. The devil you know is better than the devil you don't, after all.
All done with the horrible monsters and awkward greetings? Try your hand at exploring the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies until your little heart is content. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers November 10th-17th.
► Feel free to make your own logs, as well!
► All characters now arrive with phones that have network communication.

But he'll share what he does know, as long as it doesn't touch on anything sensitive or personal. Adam can do that much.
"They brought us here by accident, they say, and they gain power from our emotions. Sometimes there are monsters here too, and sometimes strange things happen - we all saw things that we fear, recently."
Luckily, his bruises from that have faded.
no subject
Is his first question.
"Does it show up regular-like?"
It's not a place that looks like it'll lend itself to foraging.
no subject
And he doesn't know if he believes that, either, but what other explanation is there, in the end?
"There's always plenty in the shops. It seems to refill regularly, and so far I haven't found anything poisonous."
no subject
Bob echoes, absolutely flatly. In the list of things he hasn't gotten to about this place as of yet, that particular fact is pretty high.
no subject
And Bob's reaction seems to say that he is unfamiliar with them, which - well. Better he knows now.
"They call themselves Hope and Fear, and they say they're powered by our emotions. The matching ones, of course. They certainly seem to have more power than any of us."
no subject
He shakes his head.
"-they think we can feel anything akin to hope in this place?"
He can barely imagine.
no subject
Hope isn't exactly Adam's strong point, so he entirely understand that tone of voice. It might not be impossible, but it certainly seems that way sometimes.
"But that's where the food comes from, and most of the other things. And I guess that's why they torture us sometimes."
Yeah. There's that.
no subject
He says, peculiarly maybe, but it's something he feels a little self-conscious about asking.
"Is there a church? A proper one?"
no subject
Adam doesn't think the question is strange. He has no doubt that Ronan has wondered the same thing. He's not religious himself, but understand the desire, sort of.
"There are temples to the god, but nothing like an actual church."
no subject
He's not sure what. Repurpose something or other to that effect.
"Not one of the old temples, that'd be- but something."
no subject
He doesn't look it, but then, Adam is not actually sure what a priest is supposed to look like. Old, maybe?
no subject
Bob asks, surprised.
"No. No, not a priest. Just a- just a parishioner."
no subject
"I don't know if the supposed gods here would like something else being worshiped, but I don't know that they'd be angry, either."
They round a corner, and Adam points ahead, to where one of the spires rises above the buildings around it.
"You can find somewhere to stay in there."
no subject
"Thanks,"
And then sets off fast, unheeding, with Rocco in his arms. They'll no doubt have to meet again, on a better day.
