You wake up on the hard earth of the colosseum. By the state of things and the various aches and pains in your body, you've probably been passed out there for awhile. A few things should immediately become clear to you upon an initial assessment.1. You're not aloneOf all of these alarming things, the skittery object might be your largest concern. Be wary when turning corners or shutting out the lights: the Hunters work best when your vision is obscured, so their gelatinous form is even harder to spot. Their main goal will be to kill people of course, though they prefer to hide in corners and smaller rooms. Watch out when trying to work through the halls of the colosseum to find the outdoors- they're surprisingly quick, and they prefer to kill their prey by opening their face-flaps and wrapping their mouths around your head. Fun!
2. You're near other people who look to be in a similar state.
3. You're also near an assortment of human shaped lamps.
4. You're also near something that skitters off into the shadows of the colosseum.
More information on Hunters can be found here!
Second largest concern? Maybe it's the people lamps. Maybe it's the actual people around you. Whatever it is, be sure to familiarize yourself with it quickly. The devil you know is better than the devil you don't, after all.
All done with the horrible monsters and awkward greetings? Try your hand at exploring the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies until your little heart is content. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers November 10th-17th.
► Feel free to make your own logs, as well!
► All characters now arrive with phones that have network communication.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

She doesn't have a personal vendetta. More a wildly awkward sense of unfinished business lingering behind her, something that feels likely will bite her on the ass in the end. But now isn't the time to argue that. Now isn't the time to get into all of it.]
If I can I'll introduce you to the doctor. [She makes a faint smile.] You might like him. His name is Hawkeye. He's in the American military, from what I could gather.
[Wanda bends over carefully, over her uninjured leg and begins work on the other boot.]
And if you don't have pants I can use now, a blanket will do.
[If they're going to clean the injuries she's going to need hers off, and she's not certain how comfortable he'll be with her pantsless in his living room.]
no subject
[Not their Hawkeye, obviously, otherwise she would have mentioned it. And he was pretty sure 'surgeon' wasn't one of Barton's skills.
Then, of course, she mentioned pants and he got up, looking down at her leg and then at her. Right. Pants.]
Pants. Right, ah... just a second.
[Back to his room he'd go, not quite willing to venture into Cashmere's without her presence. He picked out a pair of sweats, then came back and held them out to her.]
These should do for now until we can set you up with your own supply. I should really clean that out and re-wrap it.

Wanda takes the pants and sets them aside. She can't change into them until everything else is handled, so they'll be fine there for the moment. Her hand goes to the button of her pants, she unfastens them, shucks her pants off carefully, down to her ankles, and then in a moment of modesty, perhaps more for him than for her she expects, she takes the clean pants and lays them over her lap, high enough above the wound to still give him access to clean it.]
Thank you. For the pants and for this. [She gestures to her leg.] I'll try to keep them clean...
[And she'll return them when she can. When her own pants are cleaned and mended as well.]

It's not like I'm running you a tab, Wanda. We can share what we have here. We don't really have another option. Those will do you for now until we can get you something else. I'm just glad this isn't worse than it is, and that there seems to be a doctor here in case of something bad.

I hadn't even gotten used to what was given to me when I joined the team. It might have been easier to accept it all there where there is so much when there is as little as you say... [Then these pants are his, and they're a precious resource, following what he's told her. Wanda sighs.] But yes, I'm glad it isn't worse either.
[And a very small part of her can admit that it's nice to have someone looking after her, even if all it amounts to is a clean pair of pants and her wounds being tended.]
no subject
I'll just go get rid of this so you can, ah... pants.
[Get dressed, Wanda. He already has one lady in the house that likes to press his buttons.]
no subject
yetand has no reason not to get dressed when Steve moves to give her the privacy to do so. Grateful for the opportunity, she carefully drops the pants onto the ground, steps into them, and pulls them up over her hips. They're large for her, extremely baggy, but they settle in place, loose enough to not brush the bandage around her leg much.Sitting once more, she waits for him to return.]
Thank you. Again. For all of this. [She gestures to the pants, the bandages, a vague motion for the assistance.] What do we do from here, however?
[There's still Natasha to find, and others in the arena.]
no subject
'We' are going to sit here and make sure 'we' don't make that any worse than it already is. I'll probably go back to the coliseum and circle around, see if I can find Natasha. Maybe see if I can find that doctor friend of yours. You need to rest, Wanda. You won't do yourself any good getting hurt more.
no subject
But you'll go to find Natasha? And the others? There was more than just she and the doctor...and there are the things in there too.
[The Hunters. The ones that did this to her, that attacked.]
no subject
[Because hey, why not add to the women staying with him. Steve's Angels, right? Right.
Wrong.]no subject
Fine, I will stay here, but only because I know I will slow you down.
[No, she would have gone anyway, but he's giving her a Look and both he and Natasha seem insistent on her being safe. So.] I'll...find a room for myself. For now.
no subject
[He doesn't comment on her slowing him down, knows it'll only rub salt in the wound. She'd been complacent in coming here, agreeable to being tended to. The least he could do was be gracious about her being a liability.]
Try to get some rest. I'll see who I can find down there, and I'll keep my eye out for whatever else came through.
no subject
Very well. Watch your back.
[There's nothing left to say. Wanda looks away, to the stairs leading up, and back to him.]
Come find me when you return, tell me what happened. Okay?
no subject
[He'd find Bucky while he was out, and Natasha. He'd set up arrangements for both to come find him here. He'd update Nat on Wanda's condition, kill any of the creatures that attacked him or civilians or teammates. And he'd come back and deal with a house full of women.
Just another day as an Avenger.]
I'll be back in time for dinner. Hopefully I can introduce you to the other two.
no subject
When you return then.
no subject
Stay safe.
