What: The intro log for July
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: July 10th-14th
Warnings: Who's that Pokémon?

You wake up on an alien planet. All around you are things that might be familiar- rocky ground, stone columns of a colosseum, overcast and dreary clouds above- but there's a lingering doubt in the back of your mind that you're not where you should be. Nearby, there are a dozen or so other people going through the same thing, so maybe you can stop and say hello... or, if you're more of an antisocial type, you might sneak away before anyone takes special notices of you.

Be careful of sneaking too far though, because you may run across an unfriendly Kabutops! From the Pokémon franchise, Kabutops is a prehistoric creature with scythes for hands that can cut through the water (and human flesh) like it's nothing. Its skin is rough and difficult to penetrate with basic weapons, and contrary to what anyone canon-savvy may expect, they are impossible to tame- so you might try to run while you can.

If you manage to escape from the pointy dinosaurs, you may find some hip new ways to accessorize! Strewn about the ground with the new arrivals are an assortment of bedazzlers in various states of functioning! They may only have two stars on Amazon, but Bedazzlers are a cultural landmark, easily used to bling up your lifestyle! Alongside the various equipment are, of course, various studs, gems, sequins, rhinestones, and anything else that you could possibly attach to some clothing or hand towels or curtains or underwear with a Bedazzler kit. Happy crafting!

If you've finished collecting all you need for your new home decoration, you can explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

Truer words have never been spoken. [ It is easier, even when everything is messy and merged in her head. She knows who not to trust, knows that if she gets a little weird and odd that it's more bullshit gods. There's little to learn.

She smiles, unaware she's really even doing it. Adam's a... he's a good friend. She doesn't know how she'd feel if she'd come back to him gone. ]

I'll, maybe I'll take you up on that. I wouldn't mind seeing your dick boyfriend some time. Where is you two are living?

[It relaxes him a little, seeing her smile. She'll adjust - he knows that Sharon is a very strong person, so he's not worried about that. It's more that, well, she's a friend, even if she doesn't remember all of that. Adam wants her to be all right.]

I'll send you the location. It's the same place as before, but - well, it's not like you hung out there all the time.

[They don't have a lot of guests, though of course she was always welcome.]

[ The same place, huh? That must be nice; to be uprooted from multiple homes but always have one to return to, the same one to return to. ]

I don't think I hung out in a lot of places, not unless there was a steady amount of booze. [ She does remember some things like her minor alcohol problem. It's almost funny how much she could go for a drink already. ]

But I'll... I'll give you a heads up sometime. You know, wouldn't be right to just drop in.

[It's the first time Adam's ever had something he could consider a real home, as strange as it would be to admit that. He doesn't particularly like being here, but he likes that.]

You can if you're nearby. I wouldn't mind, and I doubt Ronan would, though he'd probably complain.

[Though he knows it's not always a great idea to show up with no warning.]

Just take whatever time you need to get adjusted.

[ Sharon rolls her eyes. It lacks some seriousness. ]

Oh yeah, because I want to listen to Ronan bitch at me and I doubt you'd appreciate it if I duck taped his mouth up.

[ ...Or would you?

Honestly, she might never be able to express to Adam how much his... nonchalance about her return means to her. It's like things are different but not so much that he makes it awkward, that he points it out, that he makes her feel bad for the holes in her head.

Her expression becomes a little serious, a little sad; a truly honest expression. ]

Thank you, Adam. I, uh... I hate that you're still here but I'm... I'm glad you are, too.

[He wishes he didn't know exactly what she means when she says that - he wishes they could just be happy to see each other. That he could have just been happy to see her again, too. But it's never that easy.]

I hate that you're back here, but - I'm really glad to see you again.

[Adam wishes there were a better way to express it, but... he knows there doesn't need to be. Anyone who knows this place understands.]

[ It's not something Sharon would do, not under normal circumstances, and rarely even under abnormal circumstances, but she finds herself filled with the sudden desire to embrace him. She flounders, hesitates, shifts the weight from leg to leg before she finds that she's moved forward to attempt to wrap her arms around him.

A stupid, slim boy she barely knew but who, in that moment, felt like the closest thing she had to a friend; to something real and there.

Should he turn her away, she'll apologize, but should he not, she'll cling, more certain than ever that at least there's one real thing in her life right now. ]

[Adam's not very good at hugs. It's not a surprise - he wasn't hugged enough, or really at all, as a child. He never got practice, and so even now it's not natural for him. He only really started to get used to any kind of affectionate physical contact after he and Ronan got involved.

But he tries. He hugs Sharon back as best he can, and if it's a little awkward, a little uncertain, that isn't because of her. In reality, Adam just feels - lucky, maybe, that she trusts him enough for this. He knows this kind of thing can't be easy for her, either. And he absolutely understands needing that contact, that comfort, that reminder that you are not alone. If he can give that to her, he will, without question.

After a moment, he relaxes a little as he gets used to it, not stepping away, only letting go when she's done.]

[ It's awkward, it's weird, but Sharon could never be able to express her appreciation that he doesn't pull away. She's never been a huge fan of most forms of physical contact but Sharon's found that sometimes, just sometimes, it's worth any awkwardness.

She pulls back, grateful though filled with a strange sense of embarrassment at the show of weakness. Nothing is supposed to bother her, she's always wanted to prove that, but this is all... so fucked up. She steps away with excuses ready on her lips but finds she can't bring herself to voice them. Adam's never been judgemental. ]

...I, uh... I'm sorry.

You've got nothing to apologize for.

[Of course she doesn't. Coming back here the way she did - it's unsettling, even frightening, and definitely not something anyone could just take in stride. Adam's been through it himself, though with less confusion. And she's his friend. Adam isn't very good at making friends, and isn't always the most open with his feelings, but he is very loyal to the people he cares for.

He knows how much simple contact can help.

He also knows how awkward it can be afterwards if you're not used to it, like he isn't. So he steers things in an easier direction.]

Do you - need help finding anything? Or are you just gonna walk around and get used to this place again?

[ Adam is such a bro. ]

I'm... Yeah, I'm just going to walk around, figure shit out. It'll settle eventually and if it doesn't... [ She shrugs her shoulders. It is what it is, right? ]

But I, uh, appreciate it. A lot. [ Yuck. Why do things like gratitude and friendship and mushy things make her feel gross? ]

Just - call me if you need anything.

[It's a vague, open-ended offer, but he trusts that Sharon will understand it for what it is: really just a reminder that he is here, that he will help if he can. That she isn't alone.]

It's not so bad here. Not always. And it's good to see you again.

[ Sharon isn't known for her ability to reach out when she needs help, at least not under most circumstances, but she understands what Adam is doing. ]

It's... Yeah, it's good to see you again, too, Adam. I'll catch you around sometime. [ She'll give an awkward wave as she departs, thoughts swirling. ]
