Event Log: Assassin

What: The Assassin event
Where: Throughout the city
When: April 15th-23rd
Warnings: Inevitable character death, potential horror and gore and unpleasantness. Please remember to tag for warnings in the header if it things get too bad!

The morning of April 15th in Hadriel is cheerful, with artificial light streaming through your window. Your blankets are warm, jabberjays are shrieking, and you're probably going to experience a murder attempt today.

Maybe it'll be from a stranger, maybe it'll be from a friend, but the bottom line is that everybody is after somebody and nobody is safe (...okay, twelve people are safe, but that's beside the point). Time will only tell when you'll be overcome by that murderous rage and try to kill someone else. The best thing you can probably do at this point is stay calm, keep your head high, and try not to die for the next eight days.

Helpfully, Rage will have restocked her armory for the event, for those of you have yet to arm themselves. Additionally, for a limited time only, the armory will be stocked with bear traps, tripwire (in both 'general wire' and 'barbed wire' flavor), and voice recorders. Use all of them, use none of them, just get on out there and kill each other!

[Maketh tips her head back for a better look. She's not in the mood to smile and doesn't bother attempting one.] Maketh Tua. I don't...I don't think we've spoken.

[These are not the best circumstances for their introduction, but then, this place rarely provides them.]

No. We haven't.

[ Cibo moves slightly closer. Offering a hand to Maketh. ]

You should stand and move around.

[mismanagement]

[Maketh stares at Cibo a moment before taking her hand.] No, I...shouldn't be around people. It's not safe.

No. No, it's not.

[ She doesn't let go. ]

It's not safe anywhere if you're alone.

[ She's been down this road before. ]

It's time to get up, Maketh. Come on.

[mismanagement]

[Cibo sounds so certain that for a moment, Maketh can't think of a single thing to say. She tightens her grip on the woman's hand and gets to her feet. A little unsteady, but she manages it in the end.] I - all right.

i'm positive this is way late

[ Still she holds on. Keeping Maketh steady even as she stands on her own. Then slowly releases. ]

Let's get to higher ground. We can keep better watch.

[ There are plenty of buildings. Rooms and rooftops, most with decent vantage points. ]
