As you wake up on the sand of the colosseum, gazing up at cloudy gray skies, you might wonder what you're doing here. Where are you? How did you get here? You'll figure it all out soon enough, so try to clamp down on that rising panic, or you just might end up in a dangerous situation.
Because, of course, you're not the only thing that arrived. The Door has also chosen to pull in some rust monsters. These monsters may look a bit like insects, but they're much larger, with a rather vicious bite. You can fight them, but be careful - anything metal that touches them instantly begins to corrode. Your sword, a bullet from your gun, even your robot friend. Might want to keep a little distance.
And that's not all. Scattered across the ground of the colosseum can be found a variety of unique and delightful musical instruments. If you're the musical sort, maybe you can figure out how to play one - or maybe you already know. Hopefully no rust monster has wandered too close to the one you want to try, or you might find that it's missing important metal bits.
Once you've found a way to express the song in your heart, feel free to leave whatever bit of safety you've found. You can explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers August 10th-13th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication and the newbie guide installed.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

When he was pulled from, everyone was wearing their armor, so there was no reason to think they wouldn't be equally armored up.

"You're not alone. Just so you know." It might be cheesy, juvenile even but, he means it; for a long time he's felt alone despite of having friends here, but it's never the same, the reminder is often needed.

Knowing and internalizing were different things.
"Strong community here?" He asked, rather than think too much of those he had lost for the time being.

"I suppose you could say so. When there is a common enemy, we overlook our differences at best. Though... there is always the odd individual that prefers mayhem and chaos before cooperation and general wellbeing."
Expected, but not because of that less disappointing or less difficult to deal with. The fact that everything in his life has been basically reduced to how to deal with one single demon out there is daunting, it's his job anyway, might as well start assuming that fact.

"I don't suppose you've got a list of people to look out for?"

"There is a demon here, goes under the name of Caedra. It looks like a woman with jet black eyes, no white sclera whatsoever. It kills and tortures for fun. The gods have apparently toned down its powers but it's still quite powerful. Be careful if you find it."
Maybe there are others to look out for, but for him, this demon has taken priority.
Atem makes a little pause in which he takes a good look at Keith, as if he were weighting his worth. Maybe he is. The armor can mean so many things, not exactly that he's a warrior because of it, it doesn't mean anything alone, the scar might have happened under so many circumstances, it doesn't quite tell him much either. His body built is bigger than him, athletic, even; Atem himself might not look too strong for as lean as he is, but he's fast and has been training for long months now, not everything is about physical strength. Maybe Keith isn't entirely useless as Atem used to be when he got to Hadriel.
"Can you fight?"
