Intro Log: Puddle Jumpers

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for September
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: September 10th-13th
Warnings: Fresh meat, lots of rain and angry ogres

If the rain on your face isn't enough to wake you up in the colosseum, maybe the thundering footsteps and- well, thunder- is. The first thing that you may notice is that it's incredibly wet around here, with winds that could knock you over if you aren't careful and thunder that brings with it a torrent of constant rainfall.

That's all fine though, because the gods saw fit to help you out on your way in and now everyone will be waking up wearing a rain coat! These coats are a little odd, and some of them are downright silly, but we trust that you'll make do. Of course, a few of the raincoats have additional sleeves, neck holes, and entirely too many buttons as well- but hey, it's the best we could do.

Wait, what was that about thundering footsteps? Oh right, as you're navigating your new fashion choices, there are some monsters afoot who will want nothing more than to grind you into a pulp and eat you- well, if you're organic, that is. If you're not organic, then they still want to grind you to a pulp, but maybe not so much the eating part.

Ogres are from many fantasy stories, but these in particular are from the Dragon Age series. With incredible strength and stamina and massive horns, fangs, and a bloodlust for violence, these monsters won't stop until everyone around them is a blood smear on the ground. They're also not too happy about this rainfall either, so be careful not to slip in the puddles as you run away from them!

Once you've splashed around a bit, feel free to run off into the stormy abyss of our islands. You can explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

► This log covers September 10th-13th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication and the newbie guide installed.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

Do you need it for immediate survival?

[Because otherwise Connor's less convinced it'll be findable; no one seems particularly concerned with the needs of the non-organic or non-human individuals here, and that includes the gods.

As for humans messing with things that aren't theirs, he doesn't disagree. He also doesn't think it's great to leave something dangerous lying around for them to find, but it's not like that's Starscream's fault and so Connor won't mention it.]

It is our energy source, so yes.

[ Which might be good news for him, bad news for any human that comes across it. Not that Starscream really cared about that. ]

That would mean I will be able to find it regularly then?

I'm not sure. As I understand, the gods will provide anything immediately necessary, like food for humans. Anything else has to be arranged for.

[But if Starscream needs it very regularly, he's probably in luck, at least in this regard. Which is good, because he'll probably be out of luck in a lot of other situations--like medical care--along with the rest of the non-organic people here.]

Food you say? [ He hates having to rely on these so called gods. But unfortunately that's what it's come to he supposed. Without the proper equipment finding energon would be near impossible. He'll fold his arms behind his back as he thinks. ]

I see. So then it's quite likely that they have all the energon I need already in this...store. I find that hard to believe, but I'll just have to see for myself.

[ After he's done some searching on his own. He rather try to find it on the islands first then take whatever these gods provided for him. ]

There are stores on all the islands, so it may be in any one or potentially all of them. You said it might be dangerous to humans to come in contact with?

[Maybe he can encourage Starscream to be sure and look in all the stores, if so, and collect any of it that might be lying around. Not that he's super concerned about the humans here, but still.]

Only if they get any on them. But that shouldn't be an issue if they mind their own business.

[ He's totally not concerned with humans either. So he'll just do what he wants regardless and not say anything about it. ]

But who am I to stop such curious minded individuals from doing so? [ Totally says that with an amused tone. ] However, I am interested to see how it might affect the other...robotic entities on these islands.

[ He wonders what any of them need in order to maintain running. He's also curious to know what happens when it's applied to a Null. ]

Do you have any suspicions about what it might do?

[To the other robotic entities, which Connor is definitely asking about just for theoretical reasons. Definitely.]

I can only assume it will either give you a boost in energy or...the opposite.

[ Well that's a pretty big difference there Starscream. ]

But I have witnessed it applied to human technology and it seemed to work fine on its own.

So if they're based in human technology, they'll probably be fine?

[He isn't huge on the 'probably' there, but he wants to make sure he has the right idea. But either way--]

It might be best if you make certain to collect all of it, both to be sure you have what you need and to avoid anyone else accidentally finding it.

[Everyone here has enough problems already.]

I won't keep you any longer; thank you for answering my questions.
