Who: Sonya Blade and crew members
What: Riding the storm
Where: Middle of the sea
When: Dated September 7th-15
Warnings: TBD
Closed to Floki: day 8.
Of course, there would be a storm while they were out. The weather on the planet was unpredictable at best, and Sonya was all too aware of the risk of being caught up in one.
That didn't make the reality of the situation any easier.
Floki, however strange he was, knew a thing or two about ships, and the entire time she road with him was a crash course in maintenance. That turned to be a good thing too, because that day the sea was especially rough, and it was literally all hands on deck to keep the ship afloat-and to keep everyone on board.
tag crew mates; day 13-15
The boat was equipped with what amounted to a long tent that covered the deck and kept everyone out of the rain. By now the worst of the weather had settled and all they had to put up with was the chill, the damp, and the constant rocking of the boat.
Not for the first time, Sonya was glad of possessing an iron stomach. She could put up with a lot, but sea sickness in this weather wasn't something she was too keen on-or ever.
There was also the shards. By some miracle, they were able to find and prove that the shards existed, but there was something off about them, something that left her and others around them feeling exceptionally giddy. They were able to stifle the effects with the combination of the Box as well as whatever cloth they could spare, but the feeling lingered. She supposed there could've been worse emotions attached to it.
She rubbed her arms for warmth, forcing herself to think of the way home and not being at sea. Having been one of those in charge of navigation, she had made herself learn and memorize the map and directions to the letter-now all they had to do was actually make the trip back.

Literally almost dangling over the end of the ship's figurehead as he waved an arm for her to come and see what he was excited about.
When she comes to his side, Floki slips down and points overboard. A small swirling patch of the sea just off the port side of their vessel. "See, do you see it? Isn't it amazing and look too, high, high above!" Floki then pointed up to the clouds where they almost matched the pattern the sea was making.
Nature was a son of a bitch, beautiful and deadly like a Viking woman and Floki was fascinated by the way both clouds and sea mirrored each other, oblivious to the obvious danger it could have been hinting at.

She reached the railing of the boat, gripping tight. "Yeah, I see it, and it looks like it could turn ugly!"

Still leaning over the edge, he picked up an apple core that had been rolling around the deck of the ship -someone must have just left it laying around- and dropped it over the edge, watching as it swirled around, faster and faster before being sucked down into the depth of the sea.
Fascinating! I wonder... Do you think it reaches the bottom of the sea? What secrets it must hold. Te-hee
Dangling over the edge again, trying to touch the water with his fingers.

She was saying this just as a sharp wave rushed at them, and she quickly grabbed onto the rope, twisting her arm around it for stability just as it fell onto them.
