What: The event log for the A Little Touchy Feely event

Warnings: Cuddles? Please keep in mind our rule about potentially adult content.
In the morning of September 20th, you wake up with an itch you can't quite seem to scratch. There's a strong impulse, lingering in the back of your mind and it's difficult to figure out exactly what you need at first. You may be unhappy, unsatisfied for most of the morning, but everything clicks when you run into someone else- whether it's a casual interaction with a roommate or friend or a more intimate one with a boyfriend or girlfriend, after a brief moment of contact, suddenly everything falls into place.
You'll spend the next week or so seeking out that contact, consciously or unconsciously. It's not enough to have a handshake or a hi five, you want to be close to people: physically, emotionally, any way you can get it. The closeness makes you happy, the happiness makes you forget about how lame it is on a rocky desert island on an alien planet. Everybody wins, right?
Make sure all cuddles are consensual, and try to stave off the horrible coldness that comes from your fear of being alone, at least for a few more days!► This log covers September 20th-29th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you get cuddled to death, please let us know here.

Even if their world isn't just the two of them anymore, this one thing will never change.]
Total yuck. If they really wanna thrive off of this physical affection thing, just let Mags run loose an' they'll be full up on it in no time. Like, what do they really expect to get out of us?
[But now that he's said it, twisting up and curling together on the couch sounds wonderful, the chance to thread her fingers into his hair and nudge her head under his chin. They still share a room, still end up in one another's beds on the bad days, but since Barry's return to the house, Lup's been sleeping in his room most nights. So this? Not a chance she'll turn away from it, even if they both know their feelings are being manipulated.]
Let's crush this. We can send in our complaints later.
[Lup untangles herself from her twin before she's taking his hand and dragging him towards the couch, already planning just which rooms she can steal blankets from to make this a proper nest.]
no subject
Part of him still knows he's gonna call Kravitz later, though, and he will not think about the implications of that one.]
Def. Should we get shit first? As much as, uh, I love to get waited on, you're not gonna leave me on the couch while you run off. Just not happening my gal.
[He squeezes her hand to punctuate the statement.]
Guess I could like, shrink down into a mouse or something and chill in your pocket if you need your hands or whatever.
no subject
But for now, Taako has her full attention.]
What, [and her voice is full tease, brows and ears lifting in mirth.] No shark?
no subject
But she grins, and Taako instantly squints at her, still kinda grinning.]
Oh, sorry, you want a wet slippery minnow in your pocket? Also, I'd need to breathe y'know. Sharks aren't super known for having lungs.
[He needs those, okay. Sort of. He bumps her hard enough with his hip to knock her out of step, but he won't let her fall.]
What, you got requests? Is this the time you really want to see a shark?
no subject
I'm kiddin', dingus! If you go full fish on me right now, we're having shark fin soup for dinner, end of story. But if we're really going with this, gimme something cuddly and cute. Like a ferret. You can wrap around my shoulders and get your cuddle on while I prep everything.
... And then later, we can totes put you in Ango's bed and scare the crap outta him.
no subject
But she says cuddly, and also scaring Angus, and he grins wide, because he knows exactly what he needs to go for right now.]
Oh I think I have just the thing for both those tasks, my gal.
[And he crouches down and in an instant, is a fluffy little mongoose. Talk about a callback, right? This is perfect, actually, because he's picked a mongoose from that first plane; he's got the right vocal chords to actually talk to her, provided she hasn't lost all that knowledge after a while of being apart.
So he looks up and chatters to her as a test.]
You better not have forgotten or I'm gonna say dumb shit about you behind your back like, forever now.
[And now he's gonna try to climb right up her leg. Cuddles now, talking later when the cuddles have begun.]
no subject
You usually do.
[Lup's grin matches his perfectly, mirror images of one another, before Taako is kneeling down and poof! Her brother is now a mongoose. It's a callback about a hundred years late, but lucky for him, Lup's memory is just as sharp as ever. That grin of hers stretches even wider at the sight of him like this, a laugh already at her lips, before he's chattering up at her in a language it's been some time since she's last used.
But it comes back to her easily, like they were just with the mongoose family of that first world, learning all about their history, their culture, their bonds.]
Pretty damn lucky I'm such an expert on this language or I never would'a made sense out of your terrible pronunciation. You should work on that, 'Ko. You kinda sound like garbage.
[Yeah, the chittering is way funnier coming out of a fully grown elf versus a tiny mongoose. Fight her.
He scrambles up her leg and Lup lets him, guiding his movements until he's up around her shoulders, giving Taako whatever space he needs to curl up comfortably by her neck.]
Just keep your fuzzy butt outta my face and we'll make this work just fine.
no subject
Listen, who else here is gonna be able to call them on what they sound like? Like, okay, Barry maybe, if he kept that in the old dome. But Barry's the last person he's concerned about overhearing any of their conversations. Even if he did, Taako doesn't think he'd even care, so who gives a shit.
He noodles his way up her chest and into her collar, nuzzling a head up against her chin as he settles.]
See, that's the fun thing, is I can do anything I want and you love me, so. Also, I sound great, don't give me shit. I forgot this crap for 10 years, you had practice time.
[It's not long until he's left himself draped, letting his weight lay familiar on her, tilting a head up on her shoulder from where he's sprawled.]
Y'know, you don't even super need to put everything together, this kinda rocks. But I'm also down with taking every pillow in the house. This is the tax they get for uh, living here. We can just take their shit anytime.
no subject
But for now, it's Taako-and-Lup, just like it always should be, Lup reaching up to give an affectionate flick at Taako's little ear.]
The burden of being the older sibling means I'm contractually obligated to love you, no matter how annoying you are. Doesn't mean I won't drag your ass though, so don't push your luck, son.
[A pillow fort still sounds rad, but if it's all her doing the work? Maybe they should just go curl up in one of their bunks with the extra blankets and Taako can make a nest in her hair.]
Yeah, guess you're kinda right. What's the point when our room already has the best blankets and pillows in the whole house already? But that just means tomorrow we'll have to do some extra terrorizing, alright. Gotta make up for being this nice today.
no subject
Excuse you, you don't get to count as older, bullshit. And I have already absolved my responsibility here. This one's on you babe. Counterpoint, we take our nice shit and then take over Ango's room and use me to scare the shit out of him when we want to.
[It's impossible for him to fully talk without his hands, so he's still swinging his tiny mongoose arms around, as if Lup can see him, cares, or needs literally any visual cues in deciphering Taako's everything.]
Or like, fuck it, we lock all the doors and it's our city now. Also an option.
no subject
It's stupid to imagine that bolting the front door is going to do anything when their whole house is occupied by wizards who can unlock it with a simple spell, but Look. The twins are going to lock everything up, take over the whole damn house, and fight anyone who dares to interrupt their Twin Twin. Barry and Angus can go hang out with Kravitz for awhile, have their own cuddle sesh over there until the twins are ready for them.
Right now the whole world is narrowed down to focus on only them. Just the way it should be.
Lup bolts the front door before she's hopping back upstairs and kicking open the door to Angus' room. Time to take over.]
You can start nesting into the squirt's bed an' I'm gonna go strip our room for extra bedding.
no subject
You've got sixty seconds and I'm keeping count, okay. This is the hardest thing in the universe.
[But he does, woefully and dramatically, unhook himself from her neck and slide down off her hip before hitting the ground running towards Angus' bed, disregarding the other items in the room in favor of grabbing his claws into the bedspread and hoisting himself up. Lup may be able to hear his little squeaking noises of effort as he scrambles up the side and scoots to the top, pulling the top blanket back with his teeth and starting to burrow into the sheets. It smells like him and it's nice, which is a little weird, but that's just how it is when you're doing the animal thing. He's learned to embrace it.]
Hey you better get back in here soon! I don't have hands! It's kind of a hard sell to get shit set up when I have no hands!
no subject
Yeesh! [With a pile of sheets and comforters, and a few pillows tucked under her arms, Lup appears in Angus' bedroom, moving over to the bed so she can look down at her burrowing brother with a grin. Angus' bed is a little small, but that's just what the twins need right now, a tiny space to just curl up and hide in, just like how they spent their childhood.
It's gonna be good. It's gonna be so fuckin' good.
Without a word, Lup drops the whole pile right on top of her twin.]
Excuses, excuses. I really gotta do everything around here, don't I?
no subject
Uh, yeah you do. This is Taako time now, baby. I brought being totally adorable and fuzzy, where's your end of the deal?
no subject
At least Lup has the sense to not say as much outloud.]
Move over, dingus, or you're gonna get squished. [Not that Lup's ever had an issue with sitting on her twin before but now he might actually feel it.] And I thought we already established that I was bringing hands! Pretty dope if you ask me.
no subject
Oh yeah, the hands you have all the time. Meanwhile I have to make myself into a mongoose. Gods. The things I do for this family.
[But he burrows back into the sheets Lup dropped and out the bottom of the pile before starting his hop-walking up towards the front of the bed where Angus' regular pillow is.]
Well go on, use hand magic or whatever, chop chop.
[He's just gonna curl up right here and watch, thank u perfect. She can use his fuzzy little face as inspiration.]
no subject
Do you ever shut up? Like, honestly, real q here. What's the longest Taako Taaco has gone without adding his own damn commentary?
[But she's grinning even as she chirps back at him, adjusting their blanket spread into the perfect nest before she's diving into bed with him, wiggling to find a comfortable position and dragging the blankets just where they need to go. Lup drops her head next to her fuzzy brother and pulls her knees up to her chest, laying on her side facing Taako, a hand reaching up to affectionately drag him closer to her body.
It's time for the snuggle. Don't even try to back out of it now.]
no subject
Absolutely never, and you know that. But now I had to tell you. See, it was an invitation.
[But yessss here she is! Here they are!! Once she settles, Taako wastes no time in curling in around her face, a wiggly little ball right under her chin.]
Y'know, I can optimize this as like any animal. Bust whatever spell slots I want, I don't care. Take your pick.
no subject
[She doesn't need to say it aloud - and honestly never would - but it's impossible to not miss the mongoose family of their first cycle so long ago. They were the first significant connection Lup and Taako ever really made with anyone before they fell in with the Starblaster crew, the first world to really touch them. So having Taako all curled up under her chin, rough fur tickling at her neck and the familiar scent right at her nose? It feels familiar in all the best of ways.]
You can stick with it. Unless you wanna turn into like, Barry, but then we're gettin' into some weird shit.
no subject
Uh, absolutely not, I'm your brother not your sex doll. What, I'm not good enough for you?
[But he's not moving, or leaving. Not if you forced him. And for all these fuzzy feelings, he mutters out another chirp once he's settled.]
Love you, Lup.
no subject
[It's the same for Lup, naturally. They don't need the influence of the gods of this place to feel warm and safe in one another's embrace, but it certainly helps, leaves Lup melting deeper into the mattress, defenses disappearing, the only thought in her mind how right this feels.]
Love you, Taako.
[Whatever happens next, whatever awful events lay further down the road, in this very moment, none of it matters. They have one another and that's enough.]
