Event Log: Gifts from the Door

Who: Everyone taking place in the event
What: Random stuff showing up all over Hadriel!
Where: Throughout the islands
When: Oct 5th-8th
Warnings: None

For once, something terrible isn't about to happen- unless you think that getting stuff is terrible, in which case it absolutely is! On the morning of October 5th, items will start appearing all over Hadriel from various other worlds. These items are generally small in size, but are absolutely not from Hadriel and not anything that the gods could have really created, given their limited knowledge about the customs and culture of whatever world you're from.

It's just as well really, because some of this stuff is alien to you as well. Different things from different worlds are all liable to show up and they don't always wind up matched to those whose worlds they're from.

So maybe you wake up with a candy bar on your pillow- or maybe you find some coins that look alien to you, or a necklace, or something else that you may be unfamiliar with. The only way to find out what it is is to ask, right?

There was that soft noise from her, the corner of her mouth twisting ever so. She had never had the most structured life to begin with, being the kid of an army mom and a scientist father. It hadn't helped that her mother had passed, spinning her father in to a downward spiral.

"Regular irregularity." Which was this place. It didn't throw her for too much of a loop, as she was used to it. "Prepares you for most things, yet leaves you lacking in many other ways."

"It's a matter of trying to find ways to fill the boredom, unfortunately." She was learning more elaborate ways of sewing of course, then there was training and patrolling, but even that wasn't nearly like how it was back home.

She signed. "I don't suppose you've picked up any hobbies while here."

Or what could be picked up in this place; the gods didn't seem entirely interested in keeping shops together, let alone organized.

"Surprisingly... Fishing." Not that she planned to go after a shark again. She'd settle for something smaller from now on, although the creature had fed them for some time during the whole disappearance event. It was fairly relaxing, all things considered, so she owed Atem for that. "Hobby, and it feeds us. Mind, I don't want to eat fish every day, but it makes up for some things."
