Event Log: Gifts from the Door, Monster Version

Who: All characters participating in the event
What: The event log for the monster version of the Gifts from the Door event
Where: All over the city
When: October 12th-17th
Warnings: Like, so many monsters

No monsters arrived with the newbies - great! One less thing to worry about. Except it never quite works out that way, does it? Maybe the Door was just delayed a little, because on the 12th, a few monsters start appearing. And then more. And then more. Where's the off switch?! Oh right, no one knows.

Some of these monsters you might recognize, some your best friend from another world might be very familiar with. Some might be creatures you've never imagined. But don't worry, they all have one thing in common - they'd all be happy to tear you to itty bitty pieces. Or eat your liver. Or consume your soul. Or just scare the shit out of you, that's fun too.

So lock your doors and stay inside, and hope nothing breaks in through the windows. Alternately, now's a great time to get your hero on and go out and smack some monsters around. It's great exercise, and there's nothing better for stress relief! Just avoid those big scary fangs.

You're probably on the right track with that line of thinking. And I have no idea where they came from, they just popped in out of nowhere!

[I mean if laser blasts blow the zombies into chunks that's probably also super effective.]

[ Starscream just lets out an annoyed sound as the laser gun fires up. This is not how he wanted to spend his day but okay, this is fine. ]

I am getting quite tired of all these nuisances that keep popping up in this place. [ Don't mind him as he just...fires off on blast from his laser gun, it'll utterly decimate whatever it hits and send a lot of the other zombies flying through the air. ]

Join the club, buddy, we've got t-shirts and everything! Kinda don't think they'd fit you, though.

[That is super gross and Peter kinda ducks behind one of Starscream's legs so that he doesn't have to watch zombie bits splatter everywhere. DAMN lasers are super useful, though.]

Something weird's happening, though. Normally the monsters don't leave the colosseum, and this isn't the right time for monsters to be popping up.

Oh, yes, and I'm sure they just wait for their calling cards to stop on by. [ Starscream stop!! ] Just because it hasn't happened before doesn't mean it can't. For all we know they were just waiting for their chance to surprise us, or better yet, for the so called gods to thin our numbers out.

[ Another fire of his canon as he growls in irritation. There's far too many of them for him to take out on his own. Even if they're slow and easy targets. ]

But at least these ones are weak and slow. [ It'd be another thing if they were strong and fast. ]

Yeah, yeah, nothing's impossible, I get it. I will say though, the gods kind of need us for food? And Hope brings people back if they die anyway, so I don't really see them trying to thin our numbers. Also, some of these gross dudes are coming up behind you.

[He's not just going to be a douche and make Starscream deal with on his own, though. He's going to start sticking the zombies coming up behind Starscream to the ground with his webs so that they can't get any closer, but ugh buddy he does not want to try punching these gross things eeew.]

What?! [ He'll turn around as he points his gun at them, firing a few more shots as he blasts zombies to and fro. He makes it look easy but he'll let Peter do some work too. After all he doesn't want to use up too much of his energy at the moment. ]

As long as there are no terrorcons around I will take these beasts any day.

[ It gives him the chills to even think of those things being here. Not only are they tough but a hoard of them like this would wreck havoc on everything. Though his lapse into memories better left alone is broken when he sees Peter webbing up those zombies. He might give the other a look. ]

So you do have some tricks up your sleeve. And here I thought I would have to do all the work. You humans are rather...feeble.

Unless "Terrorcon" is the name of a horror movie convention, I don't think I wanna know what those are.

[Well maybe not as much after today, what with the zombies trying to eat his brains and all that nonsense. Whatever, not important. What is important is taking some of these unexploded zombies down. He hops up onto Starscream's leg, and launches off it over to a building where he begins just webbing zombies up and sticking them to the wall like it's the most casual thing ever.]

I'm a little more durable than most humans. Still though? I don't want these things too close to me. What if I catch the zombie thing and turn into a zombie and start trying to eat everyone? No thanks.

Think these zombies of yours...but Cybertronian. [ It gives him chills just even thinking about it honestly.

He'll continue to blast the ones that aren't being pinned down leaving large scorch marks in his wake as he does so.

There's an annoyed growl from him as he takes another step back. ]

There's no end to them!

Yikes. I think I'll pass on the zombie-bots, thanks.

[Meat zombies are annoying enough to take out, but giant robot zombies? nooooope]

Dude, you can literally fly. Just get up on a roof!
