Event Log: Memories Past

Have you ever looked through someone else's eyes? Heard through their ears, spoken with their tongue? The gods have tried to teach some of you empathy, but it's time you learned the hard way, exactly what the others here have been through. For a week, every time you brush skin to skin with someone, you'll experience a memory of theirs: happy, sad, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that it feels real to you.

The first touch may come as a surprise- it lasts only for a split second but may feel like an eternity, where you're trapped in someone else's memory. After that, it could be more expected, and some may even figure out how to control it and share specific scenes from their past with others. Or, you might wear gloves and long sleeve shirts for awhile, nobody's judging.

Maybe curtail the handholding for awhile- or go right ahead, if that's your thing. After all, you never really know somebody unless you've walked a mile in their shoes, right?

Okay not to like, question you or anything? But how do you know that he was fine if you don't know where he went?

Also remind me to never ever ever get on your bad side. Just in case.

Because I saw him the next day -- I just don't know where he went when I made him disappear, but it was temporary. I didn't want him dead or hurt or anything, just away from me.

[ A tiny smile at that last. ]

Don't get on my bad side. Not that I think you'd ever do so on purpose.

Oh! Okay, that's not nearly as bad as I as imagining.

[Still kind of freaky though, just sayin'.]

Not on purpose, but I can be kind of a bonehead sometimes.

I certainly thought maybe I'd killed him, when I was told no he didn't just teleport away. But he was fine.

[ It was freaky for him too, don't worry. ]

A bonehead? Like you'll say the wrong thing sometimes? We all do that, Peter.

That's still like, pretty nuts that you can even do something like that. I mean, nuts in a cool way, for sure, but like. Still.

Like I'll say the wrong thing, or like, get blown up or something. Most people don't just go out and get blown up.

...please don't go out and get blown up. Though I don't know why that would make me angry in a way I'd want to banish you from existence. Kind of the opposite. I've never really been the "if you're dead I'm going to kill you" type.

As long as no explosion monsters show up, I think I can promise that I won't be blowing up any time soon. And that's good to know, I imagine it's kind of hard to kill a dead person anyway.

[George would probably back him up on that one?]
