OTA Clinic Mingle!

Who: anyone!
What: fixing up anyone who needs medical attention, as well as first aid and/or healing lessons
Where: the clinic mostly, but potentially anywhere
When: from the STAMPEDE on, open until the next mingle for anyone to stop by
Warnings: possibly injuries

[ Stampeding wildlife seems like it's going to cause a few injuries, so why not a place to get patched up afterwards? The Clinic Mingle is here for all your needs and then some. Just want to come by and chat with your fellow staff, or a friend on staff? It works for that too. First aid or healing lessons? Hoping for a new supply kit? Got a headache you can't shake? Or did you just fall into the lake or hang out outside a bit too long and think you might have hypothermia? Come on in! Anyone just looking to help out is also very much welcome. ]

((For reference: the staff list is here at [community profile] undersupplied.))

[ Shigeru nods silently as he types something. ]

I see. So you're not human. [ That doesn't really change anything but he'll eye Connor curiously, since he sure does look human. A robot then, maybe? Or an alien?! Well whatever the case may be Shigeru will smile. ]

That's fine. I can fix both. Organic or inorganic things, my healing works on both! So you don't need to worry about that.

[Connor doesn't mind curiosity--it's natural, and he tends to be curious about anything and everything himself--but he is a little wary about what type it might be, since it's a small step from 'interested in learning' to 'interested in experimenting.' Not that he's getting that vibe from Shigeru, but it's still wise to be cautious.

He's similarly a little wary of the idea that it'll be that easy to help him, mostly because he's seen a whole mess of people here declaring that because they fixed some general household electronics they're totally capable of repairing complex, living beings. But right now he can't afford to be terribly picky, so he'll just expect the worst and hope for the best, at least.]

Okay. Anything you do will likely be better than nothing.

[But he's watching his thirium percentage tick down in the readout in the corner of his vision, and definitely wants to at least try something quickly. If the ends of the thirium line can be at least bonded together well enough for thirium to flow through it instead of pouring out everything, Connor's self-repair will handle the fine details; he can't replace his own thirium, however, without an outside source or supernatural ability.]

[ Shigeru will give him a thumbs up! He's got this Connor don't you worry! He's totally used to remaking human veins and complex things so he's pretty good with this sort of thing. ]

Okay. Don't worry, you'll be all patched up soon.

[ And then he'll get to work as he holds out gloved hands over Connor's injury. His eyes will shift from their normal look to black sclera with purple, glowing, irises and behind him a massive, iridescent sigil will float silently behind him. If Connor watches Shigeru work his thirium line will mend itself, like it was never torn to begin with, and then the skin and whatever else was damaged will replenish as well. He might even see his thirium levels rising again too. Shigeru's powers allow him to do that with blood easily so thirium isn't an issue either.

Shigeru will give a small sigh before he leans back and closes his eyes, opening them again to reveal that they're normal and the sigil behind him has faded away as well. ]

How do you feel? Is...everything alright?

sorry for the delay; don't feel obligated to reply if you don't want to!

[Okay, the eyes thing is weird; it's actually not that strange overall since androids' eyes will do something similar when connecting with certain systems, but it's definitely not normal for a human. Neither is the glowing symbol, which Connor doesn't specifically recognize but does generally from his culture databases, and he files all of that away for later analysis.

Right now he's more interested in the repair process, and he's only half physically watching; the other half of his attention is focused inward, reading error, warning, and status messages as the process occurs. It's strange but fascinating to watch it happen, especially the refill of his thirium level, and it's... Definitely a little reassuring that he won't have to worry about that problem with his injury. He's certainly not going to rely on one person for solving the issue in the future, so it doesn't completely alleviate the concern about it, but it helps a lot.

He directs enough attention to the message to read it and nod at the question, but then his eyes returns to unfocused as he reads internal messages.]

I think so. The readouts and system status messages indicate everything is repaired.

[Although there are a few odd warnings about how fast it happened, but Connor just cancels those. And, focusing on Shigeru again--]

Thank you.

[He really means it.]
