OTA Clinic Mingle!
Who: anyone!
What: fixing up anyone who needs medical attention, as well as first aid and/or healing lessons
Where: the clinic mostly, but potentially anywhere
When: from the STAMPEDE on, open until the next mingle for anyone to stop by
Warnings: possibly injuries
[ Stampeding wildlife seems like it's going to cause a few injuries, so why not a place to get patched up afterwards? The Clinic Mingle is here for all your needs and then some. Just want to come by and chat with your fellow staff, or a friend on staff? It works for that too. First aid or healing lessons? Hoping for a new supply kit? Got a headache you can't shake? Or did you just fall into the lake or hang out outside a bit too long and think you might have hypothermia? Come on in! Anyone just looking to help out is also very much welcome. ]
((For reference: the staff list is here at
undersupplied.))

Yes, Starscream and I are from the same ship. I was quite surprised to find him here, especially given that he's been here longer when he and I were standing mere meters from each other when I arrived here.
[ Not to mention the apparent timeline discrepancy that Knock Out still isn't sure what to make of. ]
Species isn't wrong. We're different frame types, but the same race.
[ Knock Out considers Law's assessment, and then slowly nods. ]
Insofar as they're both incorrect, I suppose so. "Robot" to us is a derogatory term, though the inidividual level of offense varies greatly. But a robot, such as a drone, is sparkless.
[ He taps his chestplates as he says it. ]
So to our thinking, they're not truly alive. They're merely machines programmed to do specific tasks.

[this is a lot of good information, excuse him while he goes over to his usual station and fishes out his notebook, where he keeps every last observation and citation in his own chicken-scratch shorthand. Even if he can't repair metal beings, it's still comparative physiology as far as he's concerned and he's taking notes.]
I think I understand it. Where I come from, the only union between machine and living mind is a cyborg, but that usually involves organic tissue as well. Before coming here I had never expected that there might be a way to have a living, sentient being that's also completely metal. [and then, a dash of a smirk] And a medical professional as well. I'm impressed.

Other worlds, who can figure them out, right?
[ But Law's last remark and smirk have him seemingly in better spirits than a moment ago. ]
Yes, well, it seems as though this Clinic is in need of someone with my particular skill set of late.

Mm. We have been somewhat short-staffed. What can you do, then? Your specialties.

[how nice that Nick finally gets a personal doctor, huh?]
Though maybe the lab will also be able to use such skills, given that our primary enemies are also mechanical.
no subject
Assuming I can get a proper scan of them, they shouldn't be a problem. I've been forcible scaled down-- [ and he sounds more than a bit miffed by it ] --so I at least match most of your sizes.
[ His interest is piqued by both the lab and the information about the enemies. ]
Different than the welcoming horde of scorpions, then? Because those fried with a definite fleshy crisp.
... I don't you've got any of these primary enemies just waiting around for an autopsy.
no subject
Well, then. Depending on whether any more injuries roll in thanks to the invasion of wildlife, I'll have to see what you can do.
Hm. No, the creatures that come with the Door, that's different. I mean the Null. They're both robotic and extremely petulant about having to feel emotions. The lab should have parts around, but the complete carcasses are a bit large. I had a couple aboard my ship before we moved to this world, but they weighed tons. They would have sunk her in a heartbeat.

[ The lab becomes several steps higher ranked on his list of places to visit before completing his city exploration. He wonders if Starscream has likewise already gotten his claws on one, that seems right up his wind tunnel. ]
I'd be interested in seeing whatever you have left.
no subject
We brought the leftovers to the lab. Have at it, as long as you can muscle in next to the other scientists already there. [durrhurr muscle] I prefer to limit my explorations to medical science, there's enough work to do here as it is.

[ He'd worked for Shockwave, in a sense. Before having to work under him, which was a bit galling. ]
Do those here frown on doing both?
no subject
[seems like a good time to mention the idea that just popped to mind...]
Then, if you were presented with a patient who had lost his body. Chassis. Would you be able to give him a new one?
no subject
Of course, I do it all the time with the Vehicons. As long as their spark casing isn't damaged, there's very little on any mech that can't be rebuilt or re-purposed.
no subject
Then, I suggest when you visit the lab, talk to Alphys-ya [ahem sorry that's his verbal tic] ...Alphys. About a little guy with a body problem. Tell her I sent you.
no subject
Alphys, right. I'll see what I can do.
[ If the project interests him - and it sort of does. And if he thinks he can get something out of it. There are a lot of 'ifs', really. ]
You were on your way inside?

[and now that he has his notebook, he can jot down notes on Cybertronians. Sounds like a good day's work.]
