Throughout the next few days, you may find yourself plagued by visions and dreams of back home. The dreams will be lifelike and difficult to tell apart from reality, as the world will be constructed from what you remember of your world. However, unlike usual dreams, you won't be present, and will find yourself unable to be seen or heard by those around you.

The dreams are vivid reminders of what might happen in a world without you: a world in which you disappeared when coming to Hadriel, a world which desperately needs you back for some reason or another. You may see your parents putting up missing posters, your significant other moving onto their next relationship, or even your hated villain finally taking over the world without you there to stop them.

When the vision leaves, you're back here and nothing about the city has changed. Though maybe you have a different outlook on it now...

[Margaery knows all too well how the world has progressed without her. Daenerys Stormborn approaches Westeros, Jon Snow--no, that's not his true name, is it?--is named King in the North, and her nemesis Cersei Lannister seizes the throne over the body of her dead son who killed himself out of grief and loss after Margaery's death. and the White Walkers grow closer to Westeros, ever closer, like a slowly moving avalanche.

but truth be told, she's barely had the will to mourn her own lack of significance in the grand scheme of things.

no, all of her grief is for Maglor, loved, but never told. and now gone from her forever.

so when she sees Kelson seemingly at prayer, she keeps a respectful distance apart until he seems to come out of it]

[Kelson was prepared to sink into his own thoughts, wallow at the futility of what he couldn't do from all the way out here. How he couldn't reach across the void to help, even with all his powers, it was futile. Was this what Morgan felt, riding after Brion's death? And then he heard Margaery's voice and turned toward her, relieved at not having to keep up appearances.]

My uncle, trying to avoid being crowned king, trying to find me. Nigel never wanted to be king. Acting as my heir and regent in my absence is one thing, but the strain of this.....I have to get back before it kills him.

[she's relieved it's him she's run into as well. she knows him too well and more importantly he knows her too well]

I don't know. I had heard that we are returned to the very moment we were taken. But with all the changes that has happened to the Door and the environment recently, can we really know for sure? It is possible.

Nigel didn't have an easy time of it last time this happened. And that was only a few months before I was taken. He's probably barely had time to recover.

I don't know if we can know for sure. You're right, so much has changed. But . . . my guess would be that it's the so-called gods causing these visions. You know they've done such things before and that right now, they have a strong motive to hurt us to keep themselves fed.

I'm sorry. I wish I could tell you for certain that it's the gods playing with our minds.

[Kelson couldn't help but focus inward, remember Nigel's face and the familiar people around him. He hoped it wasn't real. He looked down at the Ring of Fire on his finger, touching the Eye of Rom in his ear and wondered if it was real, how they were ever going to make Nigel a king without them.]

[she reaches out hesitantly to touch his shoulder]

Please do more than consider it. It's the only explanation which makes sense.

[she assumed the so-called gods were tying to rub her nose in her own insignificance, to hurt her, to make her doubt herself. but she can't doubt her own power, honed to a razor's edge and twice as deadly]

It does make sense, but I still cant completely discount the possibility that they are drawing on something real and using it to their own advantage.

[Kelson didn't want to believe it was so, and it didn't go with what they knew of the so called gods actions previously, but there was always the possibility that they expanded their repertoire.]

I suppose not, but. They seem to know us as well as we know ourselves. They know exactly how to hurt us.
