Throughout the next few days, you may find yourself plagued by visions and dreams of back home. The dreams will be lifelike and difficult to tell apart from reality, as the world will be constructed from what you remember of your world. However, unlike usual dreams, you won't be present, and will find yourself unable to be seen or heard by those around you.

The dreams are vivid reminders of what might happen in a world without you: a world in which you disappeared when coming to Hadriel, a world which desperately needs you back for some reason or another. You may see your parents putting up missing posters, your significant other moving onto their next relationship, or even your hated villain finally taking over the world without you there to stop them.

When the vision leaves, you're back here and nothing about the city has changed. Though maybe you have a different outlook on it now...

Komaeda was relieved to know that Drake was back after the guy replied to his message days after it had been sent out. And was still so when he saw the guy at the bar. Someone who viewed him as a friend was still here after all this time.

And so he was about to wave at him when he spotted him. And then Komaeda noticed Drake's tired face and his own smile faded. "Ah......did I come at a bad time?"

"Hey... no, actually I could use the company. Pull up a seat." Drake nods towards the chair across from him and takes another sip of his drink, managing a smile for the younger man at least. He's glad to be back, too, he just kind of wishes this was the event he'd missed and not something he might have been useful for. "How've you been feeling, Komaeda?"

"You're actually....sure?" Komaeda could not believe that Drake would want his company. Still, he's very curious as to what is getting Drake down so he takes the chair. "Me? Well, I'm as well as I can possibly be, I guess!" he laughs at that. Drake can take that as he wants. But Komaeda isn't interested in talking about himself for the moment. ".....You don't look very good though."

"Positive," Drake says as Komaeda sits down, setting his drink back on the table and leaning in for conversation. And to get a better look at his friend. Komaeda does look better, despite the cold, and Drake's a little curious how that is.

"I know. Starving and spending a month in an ice cube kinda has that effect, I feel like shit too." He grimaces a little, but gestures at the younger man. "You look great. What's going on?"

"I.....do?" Wait.....he looks better? Komaeda was focusing on being healthier but he never took any account of any signs of improvement besides what Pello might have told him. He might have to look in a mirror later. It's a strange compliment for him but he really hopes it's the case.

He won't elaborate though because Drake might not want to hear it as it's boring. Besides, Drake is down in the dumps, which is more important at the moment. Komaeda thinks he might be able to give the right information though. "Yeah. It sounds really terrible and it makes me feel bad how long you had to be stuck like that. However, think about it this way. Think of how much you were willing to put yourself through that for the sake of your friends until Hope came back. You should be proud of yourself!"

"You do." Drake thinks so, anyway.

He trails a finger around the rim of his glass, listening to Komaeda's assessment of his situation. Well. He could try and think of it that way, but that's not what has him in this mood.

"You're right... for the sake of everybody, and I was lucky that Glacius could keep me frozen for that long in the first place. It's a good thing."

So what's he so upset about?

"Exactly! You did that for hope! So....." And Komaeda stops. Drake's mood does not seem to be improving. Did he.....say something wrong? But Drake did not react in a hostile manner to his advice, which would normally happen if that's the case.

Unless there is something else that is bothering the guy? Komaeda isn't sure.

"This," Drake gestures to himself to indicate how mood, "isn't about being on ice, Komaeda. Have you been seeing anything weird lately? Any bad dreams?"

Bad dreams? Well, no more than the ones he usually has but he doesn't want to talk about that. But considering what Drake says, there's only one thing he could possibly mean by that.

"By bad dreams, you mean 'the gods are at work again' bad dreams, right?"

Drake nods, staring down into his glass. "Yeah. That's exactly what I mean. If you have you don't need to tell me what it was unless you wanna talk about it, but... I've been having them."

Well, Komaeda has definitely not had those sorts of bad dreams but he'll keep quiet on that. "Ah....I thought that might be it." And considering Drake's mood it sounds like they really badly affected him. For what reason, Komaeda doesn't know. But.... "They're just dreams, Drake-san. They'll go away soon. Just like most of the other terrible things that happen here."

"They're not just dreams, not for me--" Drake presses his lips together tightly, not knowing how to explain. "They're showing me something I've been worried about for a long time, something plausible. You don't get it? Even when they stop, the worry's still gonna be there because it was there before."

"So the gods are playing on that fear of yours?" Well, that wouldn't surprise him, considering several months ago they were all stuck alone on the islands. And knowing his own luck, what Drake fears might well be plausible. Although.... "You know, Drake-san. No matter what happens here, hope will follow right behind. You'll see". Except he has no idea that what Drake is worried about is something back home.

"It's not something happening here, Komaeda, it's something that's probably happening back home." He shakes his head. "I have no control over it, so there is no hope. Not for me."

"Probably?" Komaeda looked at him, looking puzzled. "Well, if that's the case then it could be happening but do you have any evidence that it actually is? I mean, as I said, this is the gods at work. Can they actually cause something to happen in our worlds? Or show us what is going on? Because I thought they had very little idea about a lot of us."
