Event Log: Is It a Wonderful Life?

What: The event log for Is It A Wonderful Life? event

Throughout the next few days, you may find yourself plagued by visions and dreams of back home. The dreams will be lifelike and difficult to tell apart from reality, as the world will be constructed from what you remember of your world. However, unlike usual dreams, you won't be present, and will find yourself unable to be seen or heard by those around you.

The dreams are vivid reminders of what might happen in a world without you: a world in which you disappeared when coming to Hadriel, a world which desperately needs you back for some reason or another. You may see your parents putting up missing posters, your significant other moving onto their next relationship, or even your hated villain finally taking over the world without you there to stop them.

When the vision leaves, you're back here and nothing about the city has changed. Though maybe you have a different outlook on it now...

[ He gets that sentiment a lot. Peter as no idea. Knock Out just chuckles at the reply and shows Peter a burnt out piece of the remains. ]

Just checking. Does this look like what's left of a power cell to you?

[Peter kind of rolls his eyes, but hey, whatev. He leans in for a closer look at this roasted up robot chunk.]

Something like that, like some kinda battery if I had to guess? Probably wouldn't be able to get any juice out of it in that condition, though.

[ Knock Out shakes his head. ]

Interesting, but I'm much more curious in what would happen if we can find a complete enough one to put power into it.

Okay, okay, I dig where this is going. What would you do with something like that, though?

I want to see what it does.

[ That's reason enough for him. ]

[Yeaaa that's about where Peter is with all of this, too. He just shrugs.]

You know what, fair enough.

I think I'll take this one with me just in case.

[ He sets the burned power cell piece to the side, picking up the piece of remains again. This is an excellent distraction from the earlier visions. ]

If nothing else, maybe you can figure out how to build your own?

[That's totally what Peter would be doing, because he's a bigass nerd. And yes this horseshit is a great distraction from all the awful brain junk happening]

[ Knock Out's pretty good at rebuilding - he has to be, when Team Prime enjoys turning Vehicons into scrap metal on a weekly basis - but he's looking forward to the new challenge. ]

It doesn't look like I'll be getting much more out of this one. Next!

I dunno, man, it mostly looks like armor scraps and fried circuitry.

You're not thinking inventively enough. What can you do with scraps?

[ His tone is light and teasing, but he's genuinely seeing if Peter can think outside the box. ]

[Peter holds up a big slab of metal and looks it over a bit HMMMM.]

Depends on what kinda tools we have on hand, mostly. For pieces like this, I'm thinkin' armor. Nothing super high tech, and it wouldn't look pretty, but it would get the job done.

[If Tony Stark can build an entire suit of armor out of scraps IN A CAVE, Peter could totally do it in a lab. Anyway, he's gonna dig through more junk.]

This smaller stuff... I could probably whip together some kind of catapult out of that, and-- oh, this piece! I'm totally gonna make a lamp out of this, I told one of my roommates that I'd build her that one leg lamp from A Christmas Story-- You've probably never seen that. That's fine, it's super old.

[ From Knock Out, that's high praise. Peter's got a good mind. ]

And you can also smelt some, and make tools you don't have already.

[You know what even if that was tiny praise, Peter's flattered.]

Now that I actually don't have any first hand experience with. I don't know that we have the right equipment anyway, or the right chemical reducing agents.

[ Knock Out has some, from necessity. ]

It'd depend on how pure a metal the Null remains are, what would be needed to clean them up for reforging. It's still something to remember for a future test at some point.
