Throughout the next few days, you may find yourself plagued by visions and dreams of back home. The dreams will be lifelike and difficult to tell apart from reality, as the world will be constructed from what you remember of your world. However, unlike usual dreams, you won't be present, and will find yourself unable to be seen or heard by those around you.
The dreams are vivid reminders of what might happen in a world without you: a world in which you disappeared when coming to Hadriel, a world which desperately needs you back for some reason or another. You may see your parents putting up missing posters, your significant other moving onto their next relationship, or even your hated villain finally taking over the world without you there to stop them.
When the vision leaves, you're back here and nothing about the city has changed. Though maybe you have a different outlook on it now...► This log covers January 4th-Januray 8th.
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► If you try a weird solution to make it back home, please let us know here.

[All them wacky spider powers and junk man]
Is that where you like, originally came from, then?
no subject
No. I was born in a village. Gull, in the Black Marshes. I lived there for sixteen years.
no subject
...I think what I'm asking is "how old are you" but in a really weird, roundabout sort of way.
[Nailed it. Kind of.]
no subject
I'm eighteen years old. You could have just asked me.
[Poison isn't precious about her age.]
no subject
[mmmmMMMMYYEAP just gonna mentally kick himself a little for being SO SMOOTH only not smooth at all.]
no subject
[She feels far, far away from kneeling in the snow, now. It's comfortable and warm in here, and the only evidence of it are the damp patches on her knees.
Poison turns her sketchbook around. On the page is a lightly sketched out drawing of Peter at his work station.]
What do you think?
no subject
[Thank god for the subject change ngl, but Peter is legitimately impressed by Poison's sketch. He leans in for a closer look]
That looks amazing, you're really good at this!
no subject
[She looks down again, and flips back through a few pages. All of them are covered in sketches and other, more detailed drawings.]
I'll need a new one soon. I'm running out of paper.
no subject
Best I can offer you is a bunch of sticky notes. I'll keep on the look out for one of these for you, though. I mean, paper seems pretty basic, it's gotta turn up in the shops at some point, right?
no subject
I used to have a camera, but I left it behind.
[She frowns, then sighs.]
It's strange, knowing I'll never see any of them again.
no subject
It's... it's not easy, I know.
...The thighs on that one robot guy look really impractical.
[peter stop]
no subject
Drift would be so indignant if you said that to him. [She says, but there's some humour flitting about the corners of her mouth.]
It made more sense when you saw him moving.
no subject
He moves over to her side, leaning down to study the robro a little closer.]
I think I can guess just by the like, fourteen swords he's carrying that he must have been pretty agile. I mean, he looks like he was designed to be flexible. Durable, too. If he wasn't made out of something tough, his knees and ankles probably wouldn't be able to support... [ dem thighs, those gargantuan shoulders? Peter vaguely gestures at the drawing yeaaahhh] I mean, he's probably pretty big, right? That's a lot of weight to be carrying around.
no subject
She looks at the drawing, tilting it slightly and smiling a soft, warm, but faintly melancholy smile.]
Mm. He was at least twenty-five feet tall. Maybe more than that. There were others, and some of them were even taller than him.
no subject
Wow, okay, that's pretty huge.
[He glances up from the drawing, catching her sorta kinda saddish smile and hoping he's not upsetting her with all this talk about her old buddies. Or maybe she likes talking about them? She doesn't really seem too upset. Maybe Peter's thinking too hard about it. He does that sometimes.]
no subject
[She flicks through her book again, coming to a few more drawings.]
Some of them, they didn't really like humans. This is Rewind. We spent a lot of time together. He was... really sweet.
no subject
Aw, he looks... I mean, I don't know if cute is the right word, but he looks less likely to stab you in the face than some of these other guys? Probably because he isn't decked out in swords and guns.
[He also doesn't have wheels or wings or anything like Knock Out and Starscream do, so it's isn't super obvious what this guy might have transformed into, if anything. Peter studies the picture for a moment before pointing out that little round bit on the side of Rewind's head.]
Weird question, but did he, uh, record stuff? Was he a camera or something?
[Did he have a brother named Fast Forward and a sister named Pause, did they combine into a giant VCR? Yeah, he's not going to say that part. But he's wondering it all the same.]
no subject
Actually, yes. He recorded things all the time. With a camera, here. [On one of her drawings, she taps the small camera on the side of Rewind's head.]
And he could project images. We'd watch things together sometimes.
no subject
That sounds awesome. Like, all of it, sure, but the idea of having a guy around who is also a walking movie projector is kind of amazing.
