[It's a subtle gesture, but Kyna picks up on it. She doesn't want to do anything to draw further attention to him, though, so she just keeps still as they go through the rest of the files. When Wash leaves, she waits for a few seconds and then follows. She can easily guess what's going through his head, and she's not sure talking about it will help, so she doesn't say anything. When he stops, she just wraps her arms around his, armor and all, and rests her cheek gently against the metal encasing his bicep.]

[ Talking about it definitely will not help, but Kyna hugging him in his armor does snap him out of his head a little bit. Wash glances down at her, then his shoulders finally drop as he sighs. His free hand comes up and rests over her arm, gentler than he should have any right to be in power armor. ]

I'm fine, Kyna. Just realizing why it was so easy for them to puppet me.

[ He is most certainly not fine. ]

You're not fine. It's okay to not be fine.

[She has to call him out as always, although she keeps her voice low as she peeks up at him.]

Not right now it isn't.

[ Not with all these relative strangers around, not with a Host corpse floating in the next room, not with what he just saw and is going to have to tell the rest of the city about... he needs to hold it together. ]
