So we're kind of at an impasse then. They don't trust us because we have every reason to hate them, and we're not going to prove we can be trusted because they're keeping us here as food.

It's some sort of fucked logic problem.

If we could figure out a way to make this work without constantly finding things to butt heads about, it would make this all a lot less complicated. Maybe if the being food thing was voluntary? But then there's not a lot of people here who would actually be willing to be god food. With good reason, of course.

If people got something out of it they might.

Something beyond basic needs like food and shelter. I don't know, I don't have any solutions - but we need to figure out how to coexist if we're going to escape from the Null and have any chance of survival.

I think we technically are coexisting right now? It just sucks. Completely.

Sure but I guess I mean more like.. not the livestock way it is now? Something reciprocal?

Yeah, yeah, I get you. Ugh, I guess we are just kinda cattle for them right now. I don't know, man, maybe we'll figure something out.

I was going to say sheep because when they take things from us we don't die, but sometimes we do.

Actually a lot of people die pretty frequently. And then get brought right back because they need all of us they can get I guess.

I mean, I guess it's pretty cool that death isn't permanent if something happens to us here, but like... I don't know. Actually, I don't really know how I feel about it.

Come on, I never get to use my stupid country knowledge.

Do you know anyone who's died? Death might not be permanent but what if being brought back is agonizingly painful? It could be awful. I don't trust it.

I will say, your country knowledge is way more useful out here than my city knowledge.

One of my roommates said that the last time the Null attacked, a lot of people died, but she didn't say if it was painful. I think if it was, she would have mentioned it?
