We should keep trying to get that door open, either way. Do you want to keep guard for more of those things or keep trying with the control panel?

Can you guard? These things don't seem sophisticated.

[ So one person can keep watch and in case of emergency alert the other - though also Keith just has way more methods of self-defense at his disposal than Shiro can currently even dream of. ]

[Keith turns away from Shiro and the control panel. Despite the serious nature of their present circumstances, he doesn't want Shiro to be excessively stressed about the inputs, so he adds:]

Try pretending the computer's a dude. You've got a way with those.

[ Despite himself and despite the situation, Shiro laughs. ]

Where's that 'living appliances' spell when you need it, huh?

[ He turns to the monitor once more. ]

Alright, Mister, let's see what we can do together.

[ Sadly no amount of flippant quips makes Null language any easier to read.... so Shiro just opts for the systematic approach of testing options one by one. ]
