alphys;
Rose is still kind of reeling from that, honestly. One second, she'd been chilling in the orchard and smoking a blunt. Next thing she knew, she was blipped in and out of The Dor like no time had passed at all. It'd always been a possibility, hadn't it? She'd said as such so many times herself but after so long part of her didn't actually believe it'd ever happen.
It did. How long had she been gone? Not a long seemed to have changed. There was still jungle, still familiar faces in the network... She could only hope it'd been as brief as a couple of weeks, if she was lucky. It happened in Haven once. She was gone for a month and back like nothing had even happened. ]
Honey, I'm home! [ she shouts, after kicking open the door to their apartment. She'd seen Alphys still registered in the network but without knowing how much time had actually passed, maybe she'd moved. There's at least the familiar pitter-patter of wolf paws against the floor coming to greet her. ]
Hey, buddy. Good to see you too, [ she offers to Wolfie, crouching down to give him a good scratch behind the ears. ]

She doesn't expect the bang, or the yell, or Wolfie moving. Rose also probably doesn't expect to see Alphys creeping around the corner holding a bat until she recognizes what's happening.
She opens her mouth, closes it again. And then just runs straight for her middle for a big hug. Blood is blood, forget about it.]
Rosie! You're back! I c-can't believe you're back!
no subject
Actually, Rose is kind of surprised by the sudden affection. She's not sure why. They've cuddled together, after all. The blond bends down a little to wrap her arms around her friend and can't help but give a short laugh at what Alphys says. ]
Please, this dimension wasn't about to get rid of me even if it tried. Wasn't gone long, was I? I lost a month once in Haven, but... Doesn't seem like it's been that long here.
[ It's always hard to tell. ]

No, uhm, I don't think quite-- t-two, three weeks? I thought I would wait to tell people in case it was a mistake, I uh, I guess I should've waited longer...
[She sniffles, but she's smiling, obviously overjoyed.]
I didn't think I was ever going to see you again, I-- I know it's selfish of me. But I wanted to at least get to say goodbye.
no subject
Actually, she didn't know what happened. There's just... a blank space. Maybe she was dead for a while. Maybe she just kind of free-floated between dimensions. Maybe so little time passed that it didn't even register. She's not going to dwell on it for too long. ]
Hey, nah, that's- I'm glad someone thought to say something. [ She's grown enough to know that people care, but- Well. Part of her had still worried she wouldn't be remembered. ]
I did, too, don't worry. I would've... If I'd known, I would've found a way to. Glad I didn't have to go all Anime intensity and tear apart like time and space to get back, at least.
That would've been super fuckin' cool, don't get me wrong, but I'm just... glad. To be back.

Regardless, she giggles a wet little laugh, smiling as she pulls back and wipes at her eyes with the heel of her palm.]
That would b-be amazing, yeah, but-- it's nice that you're just uhm, just back instead. I don't want to... I wouldn't have ever wanted to n-not say goodbye, you know?
[It wouldn't be right to do the rest of this without her. Hadriel is her home. She deserves to see it though.]
Besides, uhm... seems like there isn't much left to the, uh. The w-whole Null thing. I want to see the ending, if, uh if we make it there.
no subject
[ She sounds surprisingly sure about that. It's honestly kind of uncharacteristic for her, Alphys might feel, but she has to believe in this. ]
Especially now that I'm here! We'll deal with those Null and right.
[ She pulls away enough to grin and """flex""" like a huge doofus. It somehow looks less impressive despite her being coated in hydra blood. ]

Maybe we, uh... do some laundry first? And, uhm, a shower. Or many.
[Alphys isn't always a fan of bathing, but she's trying to force herself to draw the line at being covered in things. It felt arbitrary at first, but it's becoming more relevant the weirder her situation in this city gets. Regardless, she gives Rosie a sideways sort of smile.]
You can go first. If you want.
ushahin dreamspinner;
Welcome back, she thinks, but sorry you're stuck here again she adds. Hopefully, at least the sentiment gets across. ]
'Sup, dude, [ she manages once she does actually track him down properly. It's been so long. Is he even the same? She is, but she's seen enough people be recycled through that it wouldn't surprise her if he was a new iteration of the Ushahin she'd known.
She keeps with the neutral greeting, just in case, watching. Waiting. ]

She's wary, not as much as Sharon, but with the same sort of cautious air, the kind that says she's been burned before. He reassures her with a friendly smile, his mismatched eyes lighting up in pleasure.]
It has been far too long, my dear. [It's still the same half-man, just as old, wise, and sad as before, but this time grateful to find some of his beloved friends and family still here.]
no subject
Heck yeah, it has, [ she answers, this time with the familiarity behind it. ] Can't believe The Door dragged you back after all this time.
[ It really does feel like the beginning of the end, doesn't it? ]
