Intro Log: Eight Legs No Heart

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for June.
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: June 10th-15th
Warnings: Spiders. Soooo many spiders. New people. Probably swearing.

For once, the new arrivals to Hadriel will not be waking up on the cold hard ground of the colosseum. Oh, sure, you'll still awaken in the arena - but this time the Door has been kind enough to ensure that you wake up comfortably arranged in a very nice chair. Or maybe not so comfortably. Some of those look pretty awkward - hopefully you didn't wake up with a crick in your neck! And hey, feel free to try to drag some of these super cool chairs to your new homes. They're probably not cursed or anything.

As you make your way out of the arena, be careful getting to close to the walls - well, except that's the only way out, so good luck! Chilling up on there waiting to get the drop on you are Skulltulas. These funky-looking spiders have squishy underbellies, but their upper exoskeletons are hard and very difficult to break through. They really just want to nibble you a few times, and maybe suck out all of your blood. No big deal, right? Have fun!

Have you conquered your arachnophobia and managed to escape? Great! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

Gojyo just stared, for a second. His face was very slowly turning red (he could feel it, but he was working on an ignore-it-and-it'll-go-away stratagem). The bean he'd been tapping on the table wouldn't go far if he flung it.

"Who the hell do you think lives in the other one?" he demanded, jabbing his thumb at his own room.

It was small consolation, but it occurred to him that Sanzo must have put up with some incredible questions. All day, every day.

When Gojyo mentioned the other room, Goku looked across the hall at it, Hakuryuu coming to rest on his shoulder. He looked to the dragon (as if he would have the answer), before back to the bedroom. Then, he looked over to the two men sitting at the kitchen table.

"I dunno. But you only had one bed in your house before, right?" At the very least, he had only seen one bed. "An' since you both live together, I thought you slept together, too!

"It makes sense to me..."

This is what his life has come to.

"It makes sense only to you. You're the only one who'd think that," he said loudly, and aside, to Hakkai: "You saw him there a lot more than I did. How'd Sanzo deal with this?"

"I bet anyone else would think that too, since you both are so close!" He exclaimed. Goku didn't exactly understand the implications of what he was saying... however, his thoughts swung in another direction. So, if Hakkai and Gojyo weren't sleeping together... and then there were only two rooms... but now there were three people...

"Hey... wait..." Wait a moment. Wait a moment...

"If you two don't share beds... does that mean..."

"...I... hafta sleep by myself?"

Hakkai shook his head. He was about to answer Gojyo when Goku started shouting more. Hakkai could appreciate the simplicity and innocence of Goku's mind. From a head that's filled with thoughts of food and friendship, he could completely understand how Goku's come to this conclusion. He just has to become used to this all over again.

But at the question, Hakkai had to think. This was a new and, quite frankly, scary place.

"You can sleep with Gojyo if you don't want to sleep alone. Do you normally sleep beside Sanzo?"

[inappropriatelaughter]

That'd explain most of his thought process, at least, but wait what the hell. Gojyo shoots Hakkai a look (half-annoyed, half-resigned to his fate already). Thanks, bro.

"Yeah!" In the bed with him, or in the same room, it was based on how much Goku had annoyed him that day, probably. That's what the brunet figured, anyway. He looked to Gojyo, heading over with Hakuryuu. "Okay! Gojyo, is your bed big? I want the left side, okay?

"Is food done yet?"

He knew Gojyo would see it his way. Thank you very much.

Hakkai stood up from the table. "It should be just about finished"

Hakkai made his way back to the stove and tested the stew. Everything was nice and soft and ready for serving. He ladled the stew into three bowls then balanced them carefully in his arms and set them onto the table. There was plenty for seconds for he and Gojyo and fifths for Goku.

"All right, let's eat"
