Intro Log: Eight Legs No Heart

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for June.
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: June 10th-15th
Warnings: Spiders. Soooo many spiders. New people. Probably swearing.

For once, the new arrivals to Hadriel will not be waking up on the cold hard ground of the colosseum. Oh, sure, you'll still awaken in the arena - but this time the Door has been kind enough to ensure that you wake up comfortably arranged in a very nice chair. Or maybe not so comfortably. Some of those look pretty awkward - hopefully you didn't wake up with a crick in your neck! And hey, feel free to try to drag some of these super cool chairs to your new homes. They're probably not cursed or anything.

As you make your way out of the arena, be careful getting to close to the walls - well, except that's the only way out, so good luck! Chilling up on there waiting to get the drop on you are Skulltulas. These funky-looking spiders have squishy underbellies, but their upper exoskeletons are hard and very difficult to break through. They really just want to nibble you a few times, and maybe suck out all of your blood. No big deal, right? Have fun!

Have you conquered your arachnophobia and managed to escape? Great! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

Naturally. Then again, they had only seen just a few out of the fourteen. They'll likely meet the rest of them, given time. ] Why not? [ I mean, Bookman, but why they'd want Lavi beyond leverage is beyond him.

Nope, there's no such thing as "breaks," they should know that much well by now. They were Exorcists. Taking a breather wasn't allowed. They needed to adapt on the fly. That's just how it's always been, how it always will be. ] That's the live we live, Lavi. There's no such thing as "good news."

If they grabbed us then it means they want to know something only the Old Man would know. I'm probably there to make 'im talk, or for the chance that he's passed the information on to me. [Lots of frowning happening for the redhead, this day is sucking a lot so far.] And if it's anything beyond that I don't think I wanna know.

[Lavi nods, the life of an exorcist was always hard. It's probably why he goofed around so much when they had their small chances to breathe.] I know. So how much have I missed? Good to know yer still breathin'.

[ It's a habit that Lavi needs to learn how to break. It does no one any good if even the Bookman Junior is dead. ]

Let me guess, about the Fourteenth. [ Because at this point, what else could it even be? Kanda's letting out an exasperated breath, running a hand through his hair as he's simply turning to continue his trip to the shops for cloths. #hobolife

Yeah, he knows Lavi will end up following. That's just who the redhead was. ] Don't know. I took a long deserved break from everything.

[It's true, and the old man is too far gone to train another apprentice.]

How did you guess? Or somethin' else to do with his time with the Noah. [Sarcasm that he's totally prepared to get smacked for. Really why does he do these things to himself? And yep Lavi is totes going to follow you Kanda. You are his buddy after all.]

A break? ... I didn't think we got breaks. [All the concerned now, it doesn't sound good. And even if Kanda doesn't answer and keeps walking, he will be asking about this later for sure.]

Call it a hunch. [ Except it's not, given what he had done to Allen. But he doesn't know, Lavi, that's likely something that needs deeper reflection. But do what you will, Lavi, just don't hang off of him. He sure as hell isn't anyone's babysitter. ]

Figure of speech. [ Except that isn't either, but Kanda also didn't feel like filling in the blanks. Those questions were annoying enough at home, and they were sure to be doubly so here. ]
