Event Log: The Hills Are Silent

What: The Silent Hill event
Where: Throughout the city
When: June 15th-20th
Warnings: Silent Hill comes to Hadriel, and with it, a few personalized monsters
On the morning of June 15th, a thick fog rolls into Hadriel. There's nothing quite terrifying about it yet, but it manages to drain the city of color, forcing a grey backdrop onto everything behind it. Feel free to go try to check it out if you want, just be careful, because it won't be too long until the sirens start blaring.
There's not exactly a reasonable explanation for where the sound is coming from: Hadriel doesn't have a speaker system, or any warning sirens in place for when something horrible happens. But you'd better find cover quickly, because shortly after the sirens start wailing, the city begins to change. Walls and furniture start to peel, revealing a bloody, hellish version of the city that you once knew. In addition, the monsters from the bestiary will roam the city, as well as a few other monsters that might hit a little closer to home.
Some characters may run into monsters which embody their own sins or insecurities. Some characters may be pursued by their friends' hellish mirrors. One thing is clear: you don't want any of these things catching you. Luckily, it isn't long before Hope makes a post, declaring the god temples as safe zones from all the creatures that are now loose upon the city.
The sirens will fade within a few hours, and the city will fall back to normal, the monsters will retreat back into the fog as if they were never there, and everything seems to be fine again, as if that terrifying experience was just some kind of twisted dream. You can tell yourself that, if you like... but that won't help much the next time the sirens start again.► This log covers June 15th-20th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► Please tag headers of threads with content warnings where they apply
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!
► Any number of things could murder you here. If you wind up on the unfortunate end of Pyramid Head's chain, please remember to hit up our death post!

Which might involve screaming and cursing. Or at least berating. He doesn't like how this is going though and doesn't quite have the right resources to deal with freezing. Victor's still going to try to look cool and collected in front of the kid.
no subject
He at least has to try and help.
Muscovy rushes forward and grabs the tails of the General's coat, trying to get his attention. "He isn't trying to hurt me! Stop!" Which for a moment doesn't get a reaction, and then...
The General turns his head. This might make Victor's position decidedly less cool, because his finger will be pulled to the side while his food will stay frozen in where it is.
And stares down at Muscovy. ...And then there is a sound as if many small gears are turning really fast, and his face rotates away, as if a barrel is rolling inside his head. And when it halts again, Muscovy lets go of the General very abruptly and stumbles back a few steps, eyes wide.
The white man's face with the moustache has been replaced by that of a north Asian looking man without facial hair and a dangerous glint to his eyes and a grin that doesn't look nice at all, rather like he's about to make a nice catch.

But the thing doesn't attach Muscovy so Victor hops a bit again and grits his teeth about the pain and the creeping, terrible numbness. When he sees the face change, which is creepy enough, and Muscovy's actions, his tone gets very serious, "Muscovy, listen. Pay attention. You need to go. Don't worry, I know what I'm doing here. It'll take more than this bastard to put me down."
No he doesn't know what he's doing here but he's got to get the kid to safety. This won't be fun but he's pretty sure this thing can't kill him for good. Pretty sure. Instead, he barks at it, his tone getting angry again, "Hey! You! Pay attention, we aren't done here yet. You think you've one with a little trick, think again. I'm going to be coming for you once I get out of this, just you wait. You bastard!"
no subject
He's not exaggerating or joking, and does not sound like either - he is genuinely frightened for Victor's sake. The cold hurts him, but it cannot kill him. But for all he knows, Victor is a regular human, and while other nations are just hurt badly by him, unless they are from cold places too, regular humans will often die... and with a direct attack like this, Victor dying seems almost certain.
And he wanted to make friends with him. Still wants to make friends with him. So he looks around, trying to find something that will be more effective than knives or arrows or even a gun to drive the General away from the man, hoping that it will even affect the ghostly figure. He's solid for Muscovy himself, but not for others, so what items will or will not do...
"You should get away and run as soon as you can, yes?"
...or he could see if he can cut off the parts of Victor's body that the General is holding. It would not be nice if he lost a leg and a couple of fingers or a hand, but better than freezing to death, yes?
But how would he get through the bone of his leg...

Acting cool in front of a kid. The guys would mock me for weeks if they could hear me now. Tsch! Well, it's better they're not here. I don't think I'd be able to protect them all against something like this. Victor's thoughts wander but if Muscovy doesn't budge before his attention returns to his predicament, he calls out, "Just go! Sometimes you got to trust adults, okay? You'll see me again soon enough."
no subject
This guy is nice and lively, he cannot just let him die (because he will die for sure, Muscovy is very sure that he is lying right now. Never trust an adult that tells you to just trust them because they're an adult.
But he can't do anything, not even plead now that the General has turned into one of those nations that snow and ice can't defeat -
but maybe fire.
Rey. Surely she can-
but she will probably run away if he approaches her, considering how silly she is right now, and finding her could take longer than this being needs to freeze this man past the point of no return.
.....Fire. He has fire at his own hands, doesn't he? And the soldiers are back to their original size, too, so they will actually be able to do something about this thing, or at least depower it some. Hopefully.
Muscovy's expression turns from fear to a - for now - forced smile. Present strength.
He digs into his pocket and kneels down as he does so, placing both hands as fists on the ground, clutched around the soldiers (careful. He's trying very hard to not show anyone where exactly he gets his soldiers from, because what is a mystery nobody can steal, and even though Victor seems to be majorly distracted right now, you can never be too careful), and then whispers "Súgradh!" to them before releasing them as quickly as possible and jumping back, away from the two human adult sized soldiers made of pure flame that now stand there and wait for orders.
Muscovy redirects his eyes to Victor and the thing that looks a lot like the General. How has he been doing?
Meanwhile, the General is trying to wrap his arms around Victor, but it's movements are slow, and he doesn't seem to be very bright, so he doesn't factor in that he has effectively trapped parts of Victor already, so evading his attempts at hugs is fairly easy.
no subject
Okay, that's new. Just what he needs right now. Fire monsters and ice monsters. Whose breakfast did he piss on to deserve this fate? Also, the kid's still there. That's a problem, if he goes down he wonders if the kid has enough sense to run. Victor still hasn't put two and two together. "Muscovy, don't get too close to those things!"
no subject
For a long moment, ice ghost, flame men and tiny nation remain perfectly still, the boy watching the monster watching the new arrivals, Victor being the only movement and sound in the scene... and then Muscovy tilts his head.
"I stepped far away enough to not be set on fire." It's a reasonable concern, or at least one that he hears a lot, but while he likes being close to the warmth of a fire he is sensible enough to not get too close.
"If they set you on fire while trying to free you, and you can, you should roll around on the ground, yes?" There isn't that much else that he can do right now - he doesn't have a coat or blanket big enough to cover a burning Victor with it.
no subject
Will that drive off the frozen guy? Or is this kid just a tad malicious? Victor supposes it all depends on the results, right? He closes his eyes as he tries not to imagine being on fire and just says, "Whatever, just light this guy up!"
He'll survive fire. The freezing to death might take a lot longer to recover from.

"Melt Victor out of the General." He's almost giggling as he says it. As much as the General is his alley back home, he still has entertained to thought that it would be a lot nicer if he was warm instead of cold, and in a way he is putting that into action now, just that he's not doing it with the actual General himself.
The flame soldiers react immediately to the words, walking (a bit stiffly) towards the General and Victor and separating so that one can wrap its hands around the ice trapping his leg and the other the one trapping his finger.
This also means that there are adult-human-sized fire shapes on each of Victor's sides. He might start to feel a bit toasty.
The General, in the meanwhile, howls and doesn't let go, instead causing the temperature in their immediate vicinity to drop rapidly and a very local snowstorm to build up around them.
no subject
He's trying, but this isn't going too well. Also, his flesh is starting to to go through the degrees of burning. It discolors, blisters and distorts under the heat. Normally the nerves should be frozen and dead by now but they recover just in time to give Victor a taste of being burned alive.
It hurts, but he's not yet going out of his mind. He's not going into shock, his body wouldn't let him. Instead he's fighting to get free. Meanwhile, the heat is starting to get to him as he visibly sweats between the two infernos. Which makes the icy wind all the worst.
In general, this is going poorly.
no subject
It's working.
Fiery fingers will reach Victor's skin and wrap around his wrist and calf to pull his leg and hand out of the General.
"Now chase him off, yes?"
Muscovy rushes in the moment he is speaking and grabs Victor, or attempts to do so, to drag him away from the flame soldiers and make him roll around on the ground.
