Are you a friend of Hakkai's? Or Kate? Are you a doctor? [ He just recently learned there are doctors of all kinds. ]

My name is Victor Frankenstein—and I'm a doctor. I know Hakkai and Kate, but I wouldn't call them friends.

[ he wouldn't call a lot of people friends, to be honest. That's just how Victor is. ] I assume you're friends with one or both of them?

Yeah! Hakkai is my teacher and my friend, n' Kate is the one I'm gonna protect. [ Or something like that. ]

What kinda doctor are you? Are you the healing kind or the brain kind? Or are you some other doctor?

Doctor uh... Doctor G is the kind that does cool things with his brain. He taught me hard math. The nines in multiplication! [ He'll be an endless chatter box if you let him. ]

I'm a surgeon. That means my work deals with the body over the brain. [ But okay. Time to ramble about hard math. Victor's just...going to nod a little bit. ]

Doctor G is probably an academic doctor. They have different skills and sets than a medical doctor does.

So you pick stuff apart? Like... get all bloody and gross n' stuff?

...Sounds a little scary. You must be a really brave doctor!

I wouldn't say I'm brave. A fair amount of my patients are already dead—the rest are usually too wounded to do anything.

Why do you open them up if they're already dead? [ That doesn't make sense. ] I don't get it...

It's called an autopsy. If someone already died, you perform an autopsy on them to see what killed them and so you can learn how to better treat the next patient who has their afflictions.

[ The gears are turning. Kind of slowly. He's silent for a moment. Processing. Wait for it. ]

...Oh! So could you... open uppa monster n' see why they became a monster?

Indeed I could, [ said with a little smirk of his own. ] I doubt you'd manage to get one, but if one of your friends manages to kill one of those monsters, I could easily dissect it.

[ His face changes to a slight pout. ] Hey...! I could getta monster easy!

All I'd hafta do is punch it super hard.

[ On the one hand, he highly doubts that this kid would manage to kill a monster. But on the other hand...it's not like Victor can kill a monster himself. ] Well then. If you do kill one of those monsters, would you mind bringing it to me?

Did you want a monster now? Or later? [ Because he'll DO It NOW but he also knows that sometimes adults say things to be put off until later. ]

[ paaaaaaaaaause. Well that's a good question. ]

Wanna come? You should come! [ Oh, look, he's already reaching for your hand to yank you out the door. ] Let's go! I'll catch somethin' really cool!

[ wait no he wasn't expecting that, he doesn't like that. ]

I actually think that I'll stay in the clinic.

Aw come ooooonnnn. It will be fun! [ he's got his hand now, dragging him towards the door. This is your last chance to escape! Make it count! ] There's tons of cool monsters n' stuff out there! I bet we c'n find somethin' really really good!

I'm sure you will find something good. I, on the other hand, will get eaten and possibly die. [ Victor attempts to yank his hand out of Goku's. ]

[perceives_sunlight]

Aww.... [ There's a disappointed noise as Victor's hand yanks out of Goku's own. The boy pouts. ] Okay.... fine... but you would've been fine! I think. [ Maybe. ]

I'm gonna go and get a monster! you wait right here! [ And then he was off. ]

[ Cue some time later, as he waffled on whether or not to bring a giant ROUS or not, before finally... ]

[ Goku pushed the door to the clinic open. He was dragging something behind him. ]

I got somethin' real good! Take a look! Gross right? [ It looked to be a man--kind of. ]

[ doot doot doot, don't mind Victor cleaning up after a surgery and oh my god what the hell is that. Victor's just fascinated as he looks at the corpse. ]

That is impressive, [ he mutters, awed, ] and thankfully more humanoid.

[perceives_sunlight]

[ He's stronger than he looks, and with a lift, the tiny boy plops the mangled and deformed body on the table. His gold eyes peek at it. ]

...Wut is it?

What does '-oid', mean?

Humanoid means it looks more like a human than other things. For example, he, [ said as Victor gestures to the body, ] looks more like a human than the things that attacked people in the colosseum earlier.

Ohhhh... okay. I get it now!

But I did a good job, right? You can use this thing t' do your doctor stuff, right? [ And he's hopping up and down now, showing off his excitement. ] But next time, you gotta come with me, okay? I'll take you somewhere really really cool!

You did a wonderful job, [ Victor said, 100% seriously. Because he did! Dissecting that creature will be so useful.

...and since the kid managed to kill two monsters, it's entirely possible that he can keep Victor safe if he gets dragged out to the middle of nowhere. ]

I doubt I will be much use if any of those creatures attack but fine. I'd love to see somewhere...ah, 'cool.'
