Sleeping on the cold dirt ground of the colosseum is enough to make anyone uncomfortable. It might be a little worse this month than others, as some of you may be waking up on top of or around various self defense devices (btw: that last one is a taser).
Come to think of it, you'll probably need those. Also in the colosseum and already stalking you are... uh, well, stalkers from the Borderlands game series. Stalkers come armed with claws, teeth, and sharp tails- and what's more, they can turn invisible to sneak up on you. Zap them with your newfound taser or stab them with your jewelry comb knife or just run away screaming- we won't judge, but you have to do something or else they'll kill you and eat your corpse and all sorts of unfortunate things.
Good luck finding a way out. Maybe you can make some friends along the way.
All done and escaped from the clutches of the colosseum? Awesome! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers August 10th-15th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

[Perhaps even all, but there is probably one or more monster who is not, and there's some issues with definition when it comes to one or two of the non-monsters.]
Though a few might have been dead before coming here. [It can happen. People who remember having died back home, and then woke up in a world such as this one.]
But now they are alive, so it is a world of the living.

[She tugs on her longer sleeve absent-mindedly, as if vaguely reminding herself that it's still there, that's what she's dressed in at the moment. Then, to get closer to his level (though, really, she's not too much taller than him to begin with), she kneels on one knee, examining the kid.]
It's very unusual that so many are able to see me, including yourself. You are alive, yes?
no subject
[It's just beyond the limitations that his racial set-up puts on him.]
...Many people here are not normal humans.
[Maybe it is that?]
no subject
I have noticed that there seem to be quite a few people like that here. It's very much not the case back home.
no subject
[Like the place where his lord father grew up.]
Are you human?
[She looks like it, but she also said that nobody should be able to see her which very much does not sound like it. And with a number of people, you wouldn't be able to tell at first glance.]
no subject
[She doesn't, not really, but that's partly a consequence of having to wrap her head around so many new things at one.]
Me? No, I'm not human, I'm a shinigami. I help humans who have passed on.

[She does look a bit like Mrs Death. Very vaguely. The dark hair is there.
...Just like Sans looks vaguely like Mr Death, now that he thinks about it.]

[He nods, though - to call herself that, she has to identify with it.]
...Are you called Ms Death?
no subject
I suppose you could call me that. Though it is more like a title than anything else. My name is Rukia.
no subject
[That's curious. Weirder even than Mr and Mrs Death, because personifications he could relate to.]
no subject
Well essentially, yes. I mean, we help the people who haven't moved on yet, or can't move on. Some people do so just fine without our help, so who knows? Maybe there is someone.
[She doesn't think so, but hey, there could be.]

He steps a bit around her to look at her vice captain badge.]
What does that do?

Does anything that you have on you do anything?
[That is, aside from the obviously visible implications, like a shirt being made to cover and warm a person and a sword being supposed to cut things.]
no subject
[After a moment of thought, she lays a hand on the hilt of her sword in what seems to be almost an affectionate gesture.]
Well, I suppose that if you look at it a certain way, my Sode no Shirayuki can freeze things, as well as being a way to help good spirits to the other side. Is that the sort of thing that you mean?

Can you make snow, too?

You shouldn't use your powers around the clinic, yes? Sick people might be in trouble if you make it cold for them.
