Intro Log: Arm Yourself

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for August
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: August 10th-15th
Warnings: Stalkers, newbies, and cute loot!

Sleeping on the cold dirt ground of the colosseum is enough to make anyone uncomfortable. It might be a little worse this month than others, as some of you may be waking up on top of or around various self defense devices (btw: that last one is a taser).

Come to think of it, you'll probably need those. Also in the colosseum and already stalking you are... uh, well, stalkers from the Borderlands game series. Stalkers come armed with claws, teeth, and sharp tails- and what's more, they can turn invisible to sneak up on you. Zap them with your newfound taser or stab them with your jewelry comb knife or just run away screaming- we won't judge, but you have to do something or else they'll kill you and eat your corpse and all sorts of unfortunate things.

Good luck finding a way out. Maybe you can make some friends along the way.

All done and escaped from the clutches of the colosseum? Awesome! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

( she'll take that advice, thank you. the thing - taser, whatever - gets stabbed straight at one of them and while it isn't quite powerful enough to really damage the stalker seriously, it does seem to do enough that whatever shield seems to flicker around and break down a bit. ) Fucking- ( why was it always claws? she just dodges an attack with gritted teeth and a hand on the bag at her thigh. )

My thoughts exactly. I wonder if the welcome wagon always this friendly. [she means the monster things. not the people.]

How do think it'll hold up against this now? [She throws a couple of those cat keychain things at it like it's one of those metal throwing stars.]

Pretty much. ( these are not as big as last month, but more annoying. harder to sneak by. she sighs, and watches the keychain slide straight into the side of it nicely.

Kate, for her part, adds a knife from her bag to that wound, stabbing instead of throwing. ) I'm fine.

( it missed. ) You? ( she pushes her sunglasses back up her nose and tasers another one as it darts by. )

[She uses the taser again, just for good measure.] Still alive -- does that count as fine? If so then yeah, I'm good.

( a quick exhale. ) Let's go.

( she's getting too used to navigating the colosseum, for it being somewhere she tried to avoid since ending up in this dump. )
