Intro Log: Arm Yourself

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for August
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: August 10th-15th
Warnings: Stalkers, newbies, and cute loot!

Sleeping on the cold dirt ground of the colosseum is enough to make anyone uncomfortable. It might be a little worse this month than others, as some of you may be waking up on top of or around various self defense devices (btw: that last one is a taser).

Come to think of it, you'll probably need those. Also in the colosseum and already stalking you are... uh, well, stalkers from the Borderlands game series. Stalkers come armed with claws, teeth, and sharp tails- and what's more, they can turn invisible to sneak up on you. Zap them with your newfound taser or stab them with your jewelry comb knife or just run away screaming- we won't judge, but you have to do something or else they'll kill you and eat your corpse and all sorts of unfortunate things.

Good luck finding a way out. Maybe you can make some friends along the way.

All done and escaped from the clutches of the colosseum? Awesome! Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, find a new monster, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

[mismanagement]

Maketh stops herself from flinching back. People shouldn't talk like that. Not about themselves. But she smiles, because in the end it's her job to be professional. "All right, then. Who--what is your brother's name? So I can make sure the others know to protect him. Anyone with medical training is highly valued."

[enchangement]

"Simon. Tam. Fussy. She may have said that." She waves a hand in Maketh's direction. "The allowance to be uncomfortable with her is freely given, there's no reason to hide it. A lot are. Some are charmed, it's more rare." Except here, for some reason. She's made more friends thus far than concerned citizens or enemies, but she thinks it's only fair that this woman not worry about it so much.

[mismanagement]

Simon Tam. A newcomer. Maketh will have to introduce herself and take measure of him. Anyone with medical skills is a welcome addition, but whether or not he can be trusted has yet to be determined. Time will tell.

Maketh clears her throat. "I was being rude. I don't mean to be."

River shrugs at Maketh. Other than Wanda, she hasn't told anyone what she is, what she can do, and starting right this moment doesn't seem like the best idea. Better to seem strange and neutral than strange and dangerous.

"There's no malice in intentions; thank you for being a guardian."

[mismanagement]

A guardian? That's an odd way to put it. Though Maketh did say she was a guardswoman, so perhaps it's only a different word for the same title. Maketh shakes her head. "Nonetheless. I would like to meet your brother soon, if that would be all right. We're in need of medics. And please let me know if you need anything."
