Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

Who: Corbin and you!
What: Two parts, one will be Corbin (and you) trading scary stories around a campfire, and the second will be Corbin in werecrow form jumping out at people to scare them. Fun times for everyone!
Where: Story time happens right near the orchard, since that's where all the wood is, Jump scare times happen anywhere you'd like!
When: Any time!
Warnings: Corbin's stories don't pull punches, so expect plenty of blood and scary things. Also crow monster jumpscares

I.

A campfire flickers near the orchard, just under the shade of the nearest trees. Corbin's laid up enough wood nearby to keep it going for awhile, carefully feeding it. There's not that much light, just enough to cast his face in that appropriately creepy glow. Every once in awhile you might hear a strange, creepy, whistling, or something that sounds like a child's laugh, courtesy of the orchard's mockingjays.

The redhead sits cross-legged in front of the fire, waiting for someone to join him, his nose and cheekbones thrown into stark relief by the firelight when he looks up at your approach. He even smiles, but the light gives it a sinister edge.

"Care t' sit an' swap sum stories? I might have a few t' share."

[OOC: He'll tell the first story, this is just a starter so everyone doesn't get the same one right off the bat]

II.

The city is darker than usual, and in some places it's darker than that. If you happen to walk down those streets you might hear a sound.

Clack, clack. The noise follows you, a hollow sort of sound. Clack, clack. The faster you walk you might hear a scratching noise, like claws against rock. Try running and the noise keeps following you, and a fluttering sound, like huge wings clack, clack, and a pause, and then again clack, clack. A sound somewhere between a harsh croak and a laugh.

The sounds chase you and then they suddenly stop, or maybe you stop, decide to face the phantom noise. Something moves on the outside edge of your candle or lantern and them with a harsh caw some half-crow half man beast lunges at your from a dark corner, beak open and taloned hands extended, surely ready to claw and maim...

[OOC: Corbin is being a shit, he's not going to hurt anyone, just scare you and then run away. In his werecrow form he looks kind of like this. Feel free to punch him in the face or lecture him. Or run away screaming, he'll enjoy that too.]

"Oh yeah? What's that?" It was mostly the challenge, though part of it was his generosity. Why not shower a lady crow with attention? Rashid feels that he should makes friends with everyone, human or not.

But not with ones that like to scare the pants off of him.

That... yeah, that would be the main problem. Darn. He hoped he could shut this creature up and woo a lady crow, but alas, no dice.

"If I find some nice, shiny coins, I'll put them aside. Just in case." And yes, he's going to wink because he's still not admitting defeat. And he's not admitting that he's still kind of scared of the giant crow.
