Event Log: Loud Valley

Who: Everyone participating in the event!
What: The event log for the Loud Valley event!
Where: All around the city
When: August 23rd-August 30th
Warnings: Cute animals, lots of candy, and swanky beats to cheer up with

In the early morning of August 23rd, a siren will sound. No need to worry, this isn't your usual siren- instead of the ear-piercing sounds of the Silent Hill event (thanks, Sharon), the music that plays over the city is a short, happy tune.

Is that a rainbow above the buildings? Why is everything so lush with grass? You wanted water and now candy has popped out of the faucet instead- that's bound to get annoying after awhile. Welcome to the Loud Valley event, which plays nice, happy music, showers you all in flowers, stuffed animals, cake, and smiling emojis, and gives you your very own monster er, companion to play with!

Each character will be getting a companion for the duration of the event, something which, like in Silent Hill, is a reflection of them- but rather than reflecting their fears and flaws, this companion reflects their positive qualities and happiness. The animals will appear to characters when the sirens sound and will be more than happy to just chill out with them, whether by getting some nice pets and cuddles, following them around, or meowing/roaring/barking/hissing/etc at them for some much-needed attention.

Suppose "special" and "cursed" can be synonymous.

[Not that he'd know how that feels or anything. Ha-ha. Nope. His tone is about as neutral as it gets for him, which is to say very, if profoundly pleasant as always.]

If you met him you would understand. The boy is more lost than anyone else I have ever met. He believes so much in others even when they are his enemy... It's interesting.

[Allen Walker was someone even he wanted the attention of if only to kill/capture. It was a complicated matter.]

Integrity. It can be a hell of a thing.

[Reminds him of someone who stood in the line of fire with his arms outstretched in a hug of acceptance that went ignored. Who spent his last living moments as a disembodied head, proclaiming boldly that he believed that his murderer could do better, be better, than the destructive scar across the world they had formed themselves into.

Reminds him of a lot of things.]

I offered him a way to rid him of his problem at one point. He didn't take it. His resolve was far too strong. But oh well. Some won't ever listen.

But I've prattled on enough. You likely want to get back to your nap. I don't mind taking one myself. With this one around I don't feel much of doing anything.

You never really know how determined people can be.

[He won't press the point. He can feel the sweet call of another nap, which isn't particularly new - he always feels the nap's siren call, and he always obliges.]

Eh, you know me. I'm always sleepy.

[It's foolish, he wants to say. He's seen it backfire so many times. Why fight hard until it was worth it? Even he let his Tease and the Akuma do a lot of the dirty work until it was worth getting involved.

But he says nothing to that with a nod and a smirk. Sans wasn't human so he technically didn't count on who he would eventually kill in his world. It was complicated. Still, his personal thoughts were far compromised. He liked Sans and he hoped he wouldn't get in the way if something else influenced his decisions in this place.]

You're getting too dangerous for me. I'm starting to pick up on your bad sleeping habits of dozing out in the middle of nowhere.

Bad habits are kinda my thing.

[His grin is unwavering as he spreads one hand, palm up, a guilty-as-charged equivocal gesture.]

But you meet the most interesting people that way.

You would know. In any case. Enjoy your nap. I might be gone by the time you wake up.

[Not that he minds. Nothing could touch him while he slept except what he wanted to but he would eventually awaken restless and wander away.]

[He lets his eyesockets droop shut as he says it, and in a matter of seconds he's snoozing contentedly, his cat curled beside his skull.]
