On the 24th of September, you wake up and everything seems pretty normal. You've got to head in for your shift at the guard, or at the clinic, or wherever else people go- maybe you're visiting a friend, maybe you're checking out the library, but either way as soon as you step out onto your street, you're in a foreign location.
No, you haven't been transported anywhere weird. Well, not by anything other than your own two feet. And hey, you could recognize a landmark and know your way back from there! But somehow you turn left instead of right and now everything is confusing again. It's not that the city itself is changing, but rather, it's your ability to take direction and move in the way that you think you should.
On top of all that, of course, is the strange inversion of most abilities. Everything is topsy turvy with your various powers or individual skills, so be on the lookout for some odd changes. Maybe you're usually pretty good at reasoning and now you can't think your way out of a paper bag, or maybe you have fire powers that start shooting icicles instead- either way, it's weird. Hopefully you can deal with it without injuring yourself too much, but... well, it's kind of difficult to make any guarantees when you can't even find your way to the clinic when you accidentally break something.► This log covers September 24th-October 2nd.

Chris doesn't regret doing any of it. Some of it he wishes he handled slightly differently, or that he hates that he failed, but he doesn't regret choosing to intervene in whatever situation was occurring.
He doesn't regret it now, even if he would've preferred this entire situation and conversation go very differently.]
He might. P-People have forgiven each other here for a lot worse.
[Even things that weren't event-related.]
Come on. Sit down at one of the booths.

Instead, he pops Chris a cheery wink.]
Nah.
[Is that in response to the offer, the prediction, or both? Yes. The answer to all of those is: yes, unquestionably.]
I think we're done here.
[So, uh, yeah, to hell with the 1 HP. To hell with the fact that it takes him a few tries, the bony tips of his fingers digging painfully into the surface of the stool, but he don't glance away and he don't make his look any easier to bear until finally his magic snaps him away.
He ends up in the lake for his trouble.
It was worth it.]

He immediately leans on the bar, letting out a long breath and closing his eyes, suddenly exhausted as the adrenaline begins to truly drain out now that the entire situation is over. This whole part of things is almost worse than the actual experience of being terrified.
Chris takes his own advice of sitting down at one of the booths, resting his head and arms on the table and hoping no one else shows up until he can full calm down. Fortunately he gets his wish, and about half an hour later he manages to find the energy to clean up the broken glass from the bottles that fell, and make himself some coffee because surely caffeine is the perfect thing to help right now.
He also sends Sans a quick text message, and then decides to try to find his way home.]
