light 'em up (aka earning that warning)
Because she is having fun and she wants to share the love.
Now, she is at the bar as Nick pours a line of shots for them all, waving her hand to get the group's attention.]
Who wants flamin' shots!
[If not stopped, she will set them on fire.]
(OOC note: be careful with Faith's fire, as it can cause permanent scarring unless healed by Hope's power or blessing!)

What? No! [She shakes her head emphatically, placing her free hand above the drinks.] No setting the drinks on fire. Uh-uh. I ain't gonna let you kill or maim anyone here. Not today, Satan.
[Guess who picked up some 2016-era slang while she was home.]

Oo, me! Me! [ -said excitably, good hand raising like a kid asking to be called on in class. (She hasn't even had anything to drink, she's just a dork.) ]

Faith laughs.]
That's always fun! [She grabs the shot glass and holds it out to Rosie, nodding for her to take it once the fire has burned off.]

It tastes terrible though she does her best not to let it show. It's another lie she's getting better and better at as time goes on. ]
Alright! How'd you do that, anyway? [ Is... she... really a phoenix? ]

another one down and headed off the deep end
[Damn it all, she deserves a drink. Or possibly six. It's been that kind of week, perhaps even that kind of life if they're going to get philosophical about it. And this is the first opportunity Maketh has found in a good long time to let loose. It's not quite like the bars she frequented in her Academy days, but it comes close. And oh, she's enjoying herself.
Currently she's out of uniform, dressed in loose pants and a tank-top. Her hair is also out its customary bun, hanging down her back in a long braid.
Maketh has a line of shots up on the bar, eyes bright.] Someone come finish these with me.
[If this is your first introduction to Maketh Tua and alcohol, uh. Well. Sorry.]
dance
[Most people would be passed out on the floor with the amount of alcohol that Maketh has finished off. But for being completely smashed, she's surprisingly steady on her feet, and in the mood to dance. Come too close and she might just rope you into it.]
wildcard
[Hit me!]
dance!
You're so much fun! [Not a prude at all!] We've got to go out more!

shots.
Sorry, gonna have to pass. I don't drink when I'm working. Thanks, though.

No? Not even during a party?

[Nick smiles at her amicably enough. It's nice to see other people having a good time, at least.]
I've actually been sober for about nine months now. Maybe ten - hard to say, exactly.

dance
(it's not that she can't work through a hangover. she'd just. rather not.)
Maketh manages to grab her when she's on the way back to the group with a drink in hand (an alcoholic one, she's been alternating), and Kate's just drunk enough to slip into dancing with an easy grace and sip of her drink. )
no subject
But that is for later, when there are not drinks and loud music to consider.
Maketh laughs, delighted, swaying to the beat. It's good to have a dance partner. Much more fun that way.]

hey bartender, pour 'em hot tonight.
It doesn't feel entirely bad to be back, though. She didn't miss the gods and their assorted bullshit, but some of the people here, people who became her friends - she missed them. She picked up working in another bar in the city where she landed after she left Vancouver, but it wasn't Delight's. It's ... kind of nice to be back, honestly.
With her now past-shoulder-length hair pulled back in a ponytail, Nick busies herself with mixing and pouring as the orders come, wiping down spills on the bar as they appear, removing empty glasses and replacing them with filled ones. A trace of a smile crosses her face as she watches the merriment unfold. Her question is always the same for anyone who approaches the bar, though.]
What can I get you?
Re: hey bartender, pour 'em hot tonight.
Anything not on fire?
no subject
I don't fuck around with fire and alcohol. I may be dumb, but I ain't that dumb.
[She shakes her head, a nonverbal sort of I can't believe some people.]
Let me guess, though - beer and tequila shots?

cash money, i make enough myself.
well, it's almost like home. except with less of Diana and Alicia being gross in the corner. (she almost misses that.)
the thing is? after a few too many drinks and the right mood? Kate is... almost happy, smiles easier and lets herself sink against the bar, swirling her glass in her hand as she talks. )
Bars'd be better with free booze. ( really, if you think about it, they have it pretty easy when the gods aren't interfering. and that breeds boredom. and excessive drinking. )
Re: cash money, i make enough myself.
And it's not as fun to pour your own drinks when you can't see straight.

Not that she minded drinking alone, or drinking with others, but it was always nice to kick back with some girls, even if they weren't best friends.]
Shots, anyone?
