Who: Peter Parker & you!
What: A restless teen wanders around the city.
Where: Random spots (library, lake, orchard)
When: 1/27
Warnings: teen angst? that's about it.
[no one really throws away any good stuff here. peter's looked around, mostly just to have something to do. his first month here has been...weird, what with the whole "good twin, bad twin" thing that was going on. it's left a lot of people needing a drink, but even if delight doesn't card, peter doesn't drink. it definitely sucks, though. he wasn't able to help anyone; he wasn't able to do anything.
so he passes the bar right up, heading to other places in the city instead. peter goes to the library first, where he pulls strange books off the shelves. he almost drops one when he hears a loud bang elsewhere.]
H-hey? Hello?
[person, monster rat, or ghost. peter's gotta check it out.
he later ends up at the orchard, where he climbs into a tree and webs himself something apple-ish. he doesn't mean to make more rain down, but at least he can gather them for a nice fruit basket for someone.
it's late by the time he ends up at the lake, where he's just skipping rocks across the surface. he misses queens. he misses the traffic and the food, his school and aunt may.]
God, I miss Hot Pockets.
[fruit is fine, but he misses his pepperoni and cheese.]

Library
A deep sigh escapes him as he slams this useless tome shut. The words are written in a foreign language he cannot read and any that he could decipher were useless. This trek to the library turned out to be a useless endeavor. Regis cannot help but lament in silence until someone suddenly called out.
If hadn't been for all the trouble that occurred recently, then maybe Regis would've greeted the newcomer. However, Regis decides to hide himself within the shadows of this library with his glaive drawn. While the other sounds no older than a teenager, Regis isn't taking any chances. Derelicts inhabit this city, depraved fiends who eat the flesh of their victims like actual fiends. Regis doesn't trust anyone here after witnessing a handful of the horrors that took place.
It would be foolish to trust anyone.]

Hey, is someone here? [the silence that follows his words reminds him of just how quiet and unsettling this place is. peter turns and walks backwards for a few steps, eyes looking from the end of one shelf to another.] A kitty, maybe?
[because at least half the jump scenes in those movies include the sudden appearance of a cat.
but this isn't a movie, and the cave is full of too many real dangers for him to be coming up with imaginary ones. peter stops at the end of an aisle, sighing heavily as he rubs the back of his head.]
Get it together, Parker.

Unwilling to reveal himself just yet, Regis quietly grabs a book off the shelf and tosses it the opposite direction. If the young man slinks off to investigate, Regis might have his opening at last. The old king will be damned if anyone tries succeeds in murdering him again. Never again! He'll fight tooth and nail to overcome any of the trials the fickle deities will toss at him, even this one.
With his greatsword drawn and ready, Regis waits to see if this chatty youth will take the bait. The old king is aware that he's a tad paranoid but not without reason. He'll give this knave a chance to plead for his life once he has his sword pressed against his throat.
That much he'll offer since he's not a killer. He's just simply...paranoid.]
Lake
That's how she spots him by the lake, skipping stones.
She approaches, her steps quiet but she picks her way along the shore, but she doesn't expect she'll surprise him.]
Hot pockets, really? [Of all of the things. But it's always strange what people miss when they're away from home.] Nice wrist, by the way.

Don't tell me you like Uncrustables better. [peter smiles, because he can't imagine her eating either of those things. but hey, life's full of surprises. he's learning that.] Thanks. [He looks back at the lake, the shimmering dark shadows just beneath the surface of it.] What do you thinks in there?
no subject
[Sounds like something they might find here, actually. Something food-like, and just similar enough to things from home to give you context for how wrong it is.
The lake is something else, though.]
I don't know. More monsters, probably. Not in a hurry to find out.
