Intro Log: None Hadriel With Left Shark

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for February
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: February 10th-16th
Warnings: Shark week

Once more, new arrivals will wake up on the ground level of the ruined colosseum. There isn't anything particularly comforting about it, either- everything is a bit cold and impersonal and there is, of course, the fact that nobody remembers just how they managed to wind up here in the first place. That can all be explained in time, though- until then, you've got quite a bit on your plate already.

And why is that? Well, that may be because you're also surrounded by sharks.

Yes, on land.

It doesn't mean that they're totally incapacitated though- you still have your two headed sharks, your giant sharks, and your sharktopus that are more than capable of flopping in your general direction before taking you into a death roll. And don't forget the (far more dangerous) sand sharks, capable of swimming through the ground as if it were water itself. You might want to start to find a life raft high ground soon.

But hey, if you manage to get away from the sharks, feel free to help yourself to one of the odd food shaped blankets. These cozy comforters are perfect for your new bed, but they tend to carry a faint scent of the food they represent, so be sure not to sleep on an empty stomach!

Listen to the Jaws theme, grab a harpoon, and get cozy! On your way to safety, make sure to explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

"You'd be the first person to do that with a minimum of screaming and or questioning of my existence," he answers, droll as ever, as he ambles out fully into view. Aside from the peculiar girth to him, he seems all in all pretty akin to what you'd imagine a skeleton to be, were a skeleton spontaneously animated.

"You just get here?" He's assumin' as such, since this would be right around the time that most people do.

A sentient, animated skeleton. One who's wearing a hoodie and looking supremely unperturbed.

Liv really shouldn't be surprised, given she isn't exactly normal, or even human.

"Do I get a prize for that?" It's clearly a joke. She quirks her lips in a slight smile, arching an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I did, with a bunch of other people. And these mutant sharks that belong in a bad horror movie."

"Sure." That sure weren't his intention when he picked the thing up, but he sure does have a sushi-shaped (and...scented, it seems like) pillow he nabbed from the Colosseum. Heads up, Liv, 'cause he just chucked it your way, easy as you please.

"Most of the time newbies come in with a flood," and here he pauses for a laugh, even if there ain't one, "of new things that try to chew up your ankles. 'S a fun time for everyone."

Ah, sushi, a food she used to enjoy in life but now has to be consumed with offensive amounts of wasabi. Liv catches the pillow, her reflexes as sharp as they were in life, and turns it over in her hands, lips twisted in a half-hearted scowl. How dare you, weird place with land sharks. How dare you remind her of Liv before the scratch.

Then, when he speaks, she's half-heartedly scowling at him. That is such a Ravi thing to say, from the pun to the sarcasm.

If he doesn't try to kill her, she might like this skeleton guy. "It's not an experience any of us is likely to forget." That much she's sure of. "So far, everyone I've met who didn't start out at the arena with me seems completely unsurprised by me and the others being confused. Is this normal here?" Are skeleton guy and the rest natives or just people who've been here a while?

"It's 'round that time of month that people start showin' up outta nowhere, yeah." So, uh, pretty much completely normal. Yep. But hey, on the bright side - she gets a fantastic sushi pillow upon which she can sleep, should she pick out a Spire or a house to live in. So that's nice.

"Regular as clockwork. Should be a newbie guide on your phone, pre-installed." 'Cause Mello's just - such a stand-up guy, y'know?
