Intro Log: None Hadriel With Left Shark

Who: New arrivals and everyone else!
What: The intro log for February
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: February 10th-16th
Warnings: Shark week

Once more, new arrivals will wake up on the ground level of the ruined colosseum. There isn't anything particularly comforting about it, either- everything is a bit cold and impersonal and there is, of course, the fact that nobody remembers just how they managed to wind up here in the first place. That can all be explained in time, though- until then, you've got quite a bit on your plate already.

And why is that? Well, that may be because you're also surrounded by sharks.

Yes, on land.

It doesn't mean that they're totally incapacitated though- you still have your two headed sharks, your giant sharks, and your sharktopus that are more than capable of flopping in your general direction before taking you into a death roll. And don't forget the (far more dangerous) sand sharks, capable of swimming through the ground as if it were water itself. You might want to start to find a life raft high ground soon.

But hey, if you manage to get away from the sharks, feel free to help yourself to one of the odd food shaped blankets. These cozy comforters are perfect for your new bed, but they tend to carry a faint scent of the food they represent, so be sure not to sleep on an empty stomach!

Listen to the Jaws theme, grab a harpoon, and get cozy! On your way to safety, make sure to explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!

[This is not as much of a surprise the second time around. He's met Chara. One of the others he's run into has hopefully told him about Asriel by this point. Or not, god knows we're all terrible at having the talks we need to have.

But it is still a shock, and it shows on his face when he turns, taking a step back to look down at his son more easily.

At his son.]

...howdy, Asriel.

[It comes out in a whisper, more reflex than anything. The tears are starting again. You would think he'd cried himself out over Chara, but the old man has an awful lot of tears in him.

Let him take a knee here. He's never had to be careful about contact with Asriel the way he has with Chara, but now...he's almost nervous to hug him. Like he'll break, or vanish, or crumble to dust.]

I - I have missed you so much...

[Asriel hesitates for a moment, too. He's always loved touch - loved hugs, loved holding hands, loved when Chara played with his ears or squished his paw pads even if he sort of felt like he was being treated like a puppy or something. It's just... some part of him is scared that Dad will be scared. That Dad will somehow remember a ring of bullets surrounding him and turning him into dust, and daring to touch will remind him of how awful that flower had been to him.

Asriel... really doesn't deserve this at all, does he?

But he sinks into his dad's arms, and his eyes are starting to water - he's such a crybaby, isn't he?]

I'm sorry, Dad. I'm so, so sorry. I never meant to... I didn't want to break your heart. I didn't.

[Asgore cradles Asriel to his chest, leaning down to press his face against the top of his son's head.]

No, no no...it is alright, Asriel. It was not your fault.

[To not fight the humans...he did the right thing. They should all be so strong in their convictions.]
