Intro Log: None Hadriel With Left Shark

What: The intro log for February
Where: The colosseum and all around the city.
When: February 10th-16th
Warnings: Shark week
Once more, new arrivals will wake up on the ground level of the ruined colosseum. There isn't anything particularly comforting about it, either- everything is a bit cold and impersonal and there is, of course, the fact that nobody remembers just how they managed to wind up here in the first place. That can all be explained in time, though- until then, you've got quite a bit on your plate already.
And why is that? Well, that may be because you're also surrounded by sharks.
Yes, on land.
It doesn't mean that they're totally incapacitated though- you still have your two headed sharks, your giant sharks, and your sharktopus that are more than capable of flopping in your general direction before taking you into a death roll. And don't forget the (far more dangerous) sand sharks, capable of swimming through the ground as if it were water itself. You might want to start to finda life rafthigh ground soon.
But hey, if you manage to get away from the sharks, feel free to help yourself to one of the odd food shaped blankets. These cozy comforters are perfect for your new bed, but they tend to carry a faint scent of the food they represent, so be sure not to sleep on an empty stomach!
Listen to the Jaws theme, grab a harpoon, and get cozy! On your way to safety, make sure to explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers February 10th-16th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication and the newbie guide installed.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

It's up in the air. But if Chara focused on Asgore's hand they stop feeling like sobbing. They, hahaha, can't really tease Asriel about being a crybaby anymore! And they can't tell Asgore that it really hasn't been all that long.]
I have been...fine. This place is not like the Underground at all, but I have been with friends.
[They battle with themselves over telling Asgore that Asriel is here as well, but...it's probably not their place at all. Chara will have to text their Best Friend after this.]
Have you seen the guide on your phone? I can also answer any questions you may have sir.
no subject
[His phone? He hasn't given it a thought since arriving, but he's sure he still has it on him. He'll look at it later; right now, he's not about to let go of Chara for a little thing like that.]
But I am glad to hear it. You must have made a lot of friends by now! [Who wouldn't look after a child far from home? And really, who wouldn't like Chara once they'd gotten to know them?] I should like to meet them.
no subject
And Asgore says that and Chara knows that introductions are going to be awkward. Or that it's just kids living alone in an apartment.]
You may already know one. But I would be happy to introduce you to them.
[They know it'll be painful. But it might make things a little easier.]
no subject
That...would be nice. [But his smile, such as it is, falters some. He already knows one. Ordinarily he wouldn't put voice to such thoughts; speaking his hopes aloud makes them seem more real, and hurts worse when they are broken.
But Chara is here.]
Is...is Asriel here with you?
no subject
But Asgore asks that question and Chara can't meet his eyes anymore. It's both good and bad news. Asriel was here, but...]
...he is here, yes. I am currently living with him.
[How do you explain to a father that his son no longer has his SOUL? You don't. It's not their place to do it.]
no subject
I might have known. [He smiles, at least, and while he's still teary it doesn't seem forced. Wistful, perhaps, but it's blunted by the fact that they're both here.] You two never would be far apart, would you? I'm...I'm so happy you are still together.
[After all that, for one of them to arrive here alone...how terrible.]
no subject
Yes. It hasn't been that long since Asriel's arrival but we are still together.
[For now...but let's not get into it.]
Have you been well sir? I know it is very hectic when the Door opens again.
[The sharks are pretty out there even by Hadriel's standards, however.]
no subject
[That's right, that was happening. Asgore turns slightly, looking back the way he came. There's no sign of sharks out in the city yet, but there must be a chance that they could escape the arena and start roving freely.]
We may wish to move farther away from that arena.
no subject
[It was probably the shock of seeing Asgore again that stopped Chara from thinking about those sharks and the violation of logic they exhibited. It wouldn't be good to start off the first day here getting eaten, would it?]
If you would follow me sir, I can show you where I live? If you wish.
[Still pretty awkward, given what Chara knows.]
no subject
I would like that very much.
[He smiles, though his fur is still streaked with tears, and stands. They've still got his paw, and he doesn't let go - it means he has to lean down at a somewhat awkward angle, but that is perfectly all right with him.
(Is this awkward? Most things about this have been somewhat awkward, so that's fine.)]
no subject
But Chara's eyes still sting and they're smiling. They are not obliged to keep holding his hand but they don't want to let go. Not now.]
If you will follow me sir, I will show you.
[Let's go home for now.]
