Who: Turing and Emily
What: Turing visits the Sewing shop
Where: Sewing Shop
When: Somwhere around the very end of Feb or the very beginning of March
Warnings: Probably nothing
At some point in early March, between late morning and early afternoon, Turing finds their way to the sewing shop.
They didn't bring any cloth with them-they felt it was better to talk about possibilities first, so that they'd have a better idea of what they'd need. They hope that's okay! They'll bring cloth later, once they know what they'll be doing... if they'll be doing anything at all. They haven't really had much chance to experiment with clothing at all, aside from the sweater they found that they're currently wearing... what if there isn't anything that looks good on them?
"Uhmm... hello?"

"Uhmm... hello?"
yes come to me
"Oh, hey." She greets them with a smile -- they'd seemed friendly on the network, in a way that a lot of people here aren't. Almost childlike. Emily likes that about them. Hopefully, they stay nice and not annoying.
That sweater is actually kind of cute. It reminds her of home (she's seen some fashion disasters, okay, and some fashion "not-bad-but-not-greats" and all the rest), and it doesn't look bad on them at all.
"Do you like that color? It looks nice on you."
Sorry this is a bit late
They smile back-it's basically their default expression-and wave a bit. "Hello." They are the tiniest and most absolute of dorks.
"Thanks!" They look at themself, pinching a bit of their sweater between their fingers. "Actually, the color reminded me of my sister. It was her favorite."
no prob!
"That's really sweet." She definitely still wears Matt's jacket most of the time here, to remember him by, so she can sort of understand the feeling. "If you like clothes that long, we can make you a dress."
'We' being her and Pell, who are pretty much full timers at the sewing shop. Pell's not here right now, but she won't just not mention him.

Seriously, just look at them. Look at the way their face lights up at the suggestion of a dress.
"I do, actually! Everything else doesn't seem to fit right... clothing isn't really made for me." And no wonder, with their proportions and body shape.
"Hmmmm..." They look thoughtful for a moment, putting their hand where their chin would be if they were a Human with a normal shaped head. "Could it have ruffles?"
no subject
"Hmm." Even given the weird clothing options that pop up in the stores, she can definitely see how Turing would have trouble finding things to wear. But see, that's why she set this place up. To help herself and others find clothes they like, clothes that fit and make them look good.
"Yeah, it could." Ruffles aren't hard to make. She's done it once, by request. "I have some sketches you can look at. Pick a few that you like, and I'll re-do them with ruffles to see which one'll look best."
As she speaks, she goes over to the table where she set her sketch pad, taking a seat, indicating the other seat to Turing.

It takes them a moment or two to climb into the seat, given their tiny body. Fortunately, they're also pretty strong, and used to things and people being larger than them. They don't need help, and it's probably amusing to watch them.

She flips through the pages until she reaches a few with dresses, then pushes the notebook over to them.
"This one right here, I think that'd look good. We can put ruffles here and here." She points with her pencil at two places on the dress. "But you can keep looking and tell me if you like anything else better."

They watch in fascination, as interested in Emily's art skills as they are in the designs. They examine her suggestion, making thoughtful noises.
"I love it! The design is excellent." Turing can appreciate good design.
That said, they find themselves curious about the other designs...

"Really?!" They're so fucking cute, just look at them. "I... I'd like that."

"Cool, then let's get started."
And today, getting started consists of taking Turing's measurements and making a mock-up, which normally Emily would do without them around, but it's honestly pretty neat to see them be so excited about clothes.
"Now all that's left is for you to wait. You can come by and try learning the basics from me or Pell or Anne, but for your dress, we'll take care of the hard part."
