What: The intro log for April as well as the city reunification log!

Warnings: Nothing at the moment! No monsters, and everyone is together again!
New arrivals are in for a treat this month with... actually, no impending monster attacks, for once! You guys are luckier than most who came before you, as the remaining monsters that had previously been terrorizing the city have been banished back into the caves and nothing new is coming out of the Door to take their place.
Still, the past few weeks haven't been easy on poor Hadriel, and the right half of the city is littered with monster corpses and rubble, extinguished flares and damaged barricades left by the citizens trapped there with all of the monsters in the caves. The left half has fared a little better, though the explosives have done a bit of a number on the outer areas of the city, but anyone looking for housing might want to start over there first.
To get there though, you'd have to get past the random assortment of candy dispensers, haphazardly scattered around the colosseum floor. At least... let's hope that they're candy.
Once you emerge into the city proper, you might find a few folks trying to get their bearings now that the city is reunited. Everyone is just trying to get back home and find their friends after a hellish few days, so what better time to meet someone new and try to clean up some of the city streets?
Now that you're out and wandering around monster-free, there's plenty of other distractions. Feel free to go explore the rest of the city! Find a house, a new monster, a project to help with, or simply scavenge for supplies. Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Hadriel!► This log covers April 10th-15th.
► Feel free to make your own logs as well!
► All characters arrive with phones that have network communication and the newbie guide installed.
► Please put your character's name and open/closed in the subject line of your starters!

Sans ain't lookin' too hot himself when he catches a glimpse of someone he's pretty sure ain't meant to be around here anymore, only she's lookin' a little rough around the edges too. But the dog is the giveaway. The dead giveaway, even.
It speaks to the profound sense of exhaustion that's suffused his very bones since the city split began that, for a moment, he can't muster much more other than a dull stare and an utterly empty smile.]
...Miriam?
no subject
Oh. Hey, Sans. You're still here.
no subject
[And she definitely don't look so great, with the way she's holding that arm. He advances slowly, one supraorbital ridge knotting down.]
You okay there?
no subject
Uh. You know. Had a bad day and shit. Looks like you guys had a bad day too.
no subject
[He'd offer a hand for Barnaby to sniff, but he's kinda reached the end of his rope, so to speak. No room in him for anything other than the bare pleasantries.]
You just show up?
no subject
Uh huh. 's weird. I remember being here. But I didn't remember when I was gone. And now I'm back.
no subject
[That's really all he can hope for. This marks the second occurrence of somebody who up and vanished, only to come tiding back at some point or another, a little bit down the line. Maybe it ain't too big a step to think that, inevitably -
Well, it's a thought.]
You sure you're all right there? Lookin' a little...
[Bloody.]
no subject
[Doesn't make it good or bad. Just a thing that happens. Miriam twitches a little, then unzips her coat just enough to show her arm clutched close to her chest, and the bandage capping off the place where her hand used to be.]
I'm not gonna die. But I had a bad day, you know?
no subject
[That don't look easily fixable. Sometimes there ain't a way to recover something that's been lost, no matter how much energy you pour into it. There's a joke he could make - several, in fact - but now don't much seem like the time for it.]
Shit. Should probably - get to the clinic.
no subject
I got it bandaged up and stuff. Even got some awesome drugs.
[She pauses.]
You okay, dude? You look like shit.
no subject
[He's died on better days, even.]
Gods messed the city up somethin' awful. Only just got itself fixed up.
no subject
Shit. Things are heatin' up, aren't they?
[She bits her lip, fluffing Barnaby's ears.]
We in trouble, Sans?
no subject
I think we been in trouble for a long time. 'S just that the gods've gotten a lot less good at hidin' it.
no subject
Who made this mess? Fear?
no subject
[Ain't the most honest guy around, sure, but lying outright ain't exactly in his wheelhouse. Skippin' around the answers is more his general style.]
Turns out the city? It's kind of its own little pocket, and the gods gotta move it around to keep some real bad folks from findin' it.
no subject
Huh. Guess that makes sense. Kinda wish they'd mentioned that earlier, though.
[She pauses.]
Think their bad people are worse than the bad shit we got back home?
no subject
[He'd say so. Not that he was one of those unlucky enough to be trapped on that side of the city. And he thought they'd had it bad.]
no subject
[Miriam's met people who killed worlds, but gods--gods are something else, aren't they? It's a whole different game. She shivers.]
Guess we're in it now. But it's good to see you. I mean that.
no subject
[...too soon, probably. Whoops.]
Wish I could say this place's better than it was when you left.
no subject
Hah.
Ha.
Miriam grins. It hurts her face.]
You're a riot. I missed that.
[Not really. She didn't remember any of this. But it is nice to see him, even like this.]
no subject
...sorry. Guess I'm still a little rattled, heh.
no subject
Maybe. She's not feeling very gentle these days.]
Do you? Rattle, I mean. I hadn't really noticed. But it's cool if you can. You could like, go on tour or something. Do the bone dance.
no subject
[See? Look. It's Sans. Your old pal Sans, endlessly amusing.]
no subject
Dunno, dude. Could be worth it. Musicians get all the babes. Or dudes. Or whatever you're into. I know these things.
no subject
[Sleeping. He's into sleeping. That's his only interest, honestly. Sleeping for like a week. Maybe more.]
