Event Log: Stepford Summer
Who: Everyone participating in the event
What: The Stepford Summer event!
Where: Across the city
When: July 16th-July 25th
Warnings: None!
Good morning, neighbor!
On the 16th, everyone wakes up feeling a little more... complete. The sun is shining, your bed is nice and comfortable and when you throw off the blankets, your perfect dog (probably named Spot) is sitting eagerly at your feet, waiting to be fed and walked.
The newspaper smacks against your porch and the paper boy calls out in hello as he cycles off further down the road. Sure, you can't actually read the strange symbols on the paper, but it's nice to have the ritual of it in the first place. Your parent or your sibling or your significant other is busy making pancakes in the kitchen when you come in, filling the room with the smell of delicious cooking. Yum!
The rest of the day is much like this. You straighten your tie, adjust your blazer and head off to work at a normal place, doing normal things. So what if you work with a guy who's actually a demon, or a seven foot tall elf? That's normal, isn't it?
There are cracks in the illusion, of course, but whether you're able to put it together is on you. Why would you want to, anyway? You have so many great relatives and an awesome support system, you're drinking awesome coffee every morning, and maybe you'll treat yourself to some ice cream at night before bed. What could be better?
Certainly not the cave. You don't want to remember that, do you?

you know what time it is
She trusted their staff--if she didn't, they wouldn't have been hired in the first place--but there were just some things you always did yourself, like hand-picking ingredients to ensure the best goddamn quality possible.
Unfortunately for Will, Lup's gaze moves to the man almost immediately once she's stepped away from the restaurant. It takes a full moment for recognition to settle in, but when it does, her forward momentum halts completely.]
Holy shit. It's you!
I'm legit scared for Will! LOL
Still, he had no money on him and was both far too embarrassed and awkward to get into a debate or whatever it was that Lup had in mind for him, so in a most class act, Will decided to not only ignore the star! But to try and scamper off as fast as he could.
Only... Only his body was apparently not on his side...
A foot went too far over the edge of the curb, just as he was raising the other leg to move, causing a most graceful wobble! A slip and sudden jolt had Will slipping cleanly off the curb, twisting his ankle and dropping his newspaper in the process. He continued, trying to cross the road, right through the oncoming traffic! A limp in his step and an urgency in his stride.
This just wasn't his day. ]
at least she doesn't have her magic?
[Honestly, if Lup wasn't seeing red, she'd probably be impressed with Will's dedication to evading her. Not too many people were willing to play real life Frogger just to get out of paying their dinner tab, no matter how much may have been racked up over the evening. But all the woman could focus on was Will's fleeing form, her surprise at seeing the man quickly disappearing once she threw her bag to the ground and lunged forward in chase.]
Get back here, you thief!
[Lup's a bit more naturally graceful than Will and has surprisingly high dexterity for her profession, but even she doesn't have the reflexes to dodge cars. She manages to get around the first with little trouble, but the second one slams their breaks and blocks her path. Lup glares at the driver, who is furiously rolling down their window to tell her to get out of the road.]
